"THink she'll stay here at ALL, or just goldfinch?" Olgar says putting the blanket on his daughter's old bed

Kerri tries not to grin at Olgar's fussing. "I'm sure she'll show up when she needs to do laundry or wants a good meal."

"Yeah yeah but you know, we gotta respect her space while we plot to keep her trapped here"

A grin to show he's joking.. mostly

"Can you imagine how quickly she'd make you sorry you'd trapped her?"

"Oh she'd gripe, until she figured a way out then patted herself on the back for outsmarting us in her get away" A smirk "Remember when she was 13 and forgot to get another half block out before crowing?"

Kerri chuckles. "A mistake she didn't make twice."

"I was thinking...she'd probably be glad if you found an excuse to take her on a trod patrol a few weeks into summer. I'm sure Goldfinch will fill her mind the first several days, but she'll want some drama, too."

"I have been worried she's been too cut off from the Dreaming over there, I mean.. they got Kithain but still, no balefire"

"At the college." He adds "mm yeah, the Silver , and I COULD use the help"

She nods. "She's managed well, and I think she's probably topped off on glamour at Goldfinch a few times without dropping in here."

"mmph, well, it's her duty and all." he nods "Fair. You know at one time I wondered if she'd follow her old man and be a Rover, but our little girl , not so little I know, is a social butterfly and Roving is often loner work"

"Honestly, I thought the same. But then the Emissary work sort of shifted her focus."

"And now she's learning to be a teacher."A Look at his wife "which she gets from you "

"And from you," she points out.

"Mmm maybe a little. The important thing? Vali gets NO credit for this " A smirk

She laughs as she puts another pillow on the bed. "Nope! Not this time."

And a room is readied to the sound of troll chuckles and under a happy cloud of fond memories and future returns
