"I do not wish to. I do not think it would be a good fit."

"It would pull you away to the Silver for long periods," she observes. "But...it is good service."

"Mm. He indicated that the Rovers are considering using more mundane methods of transport."

"Mortal roadways and such."

"Mundane? Rovers?" Curious.

A pause. "Frank...this sounds like the work you have told me you wish to do. But you do not wish it?"

"I am content with driving and delivery. Helping people when I can. That is the work I am doing."

She nods. "If you are content, I support your decision."

"Thank you. I will decline. But I am aware of the honor."

She strokes her fingers through his hair. "When is your next run?"

"A week."

"Then you will be here for Carnivale," she points out in an even tone. ((Because of course that holiday hasn't happened at Rivervale yet.))

"I will. Has Vali spoken to you of Carnivale?"

"Vali? No...?"

"Mm. He wishes to be fool, if Carnivale is here and not at Caer Falken. He said he would speak with you."

"Hm. I will make sure to speak with him. It is not his role to fill."
