Sylvi gives her dad a skeptical look. "Drop off food, and check up on things, right? Mostly checking up on things?"

He gives a hurt look "It's almost like you're insinuating something"

"I'm subtle like that."

"Play nice, you two," Kerri says as she starts cleaning up.

"Mom, I said I've got it!" Sylvi gets up to clear up the dishes.

"She started it" Olgar says but smiles a touch, then looks at his daughter "Love you, sweetie. Would it bug you that much?"

Sylvi shrugs as she gathers up the last dish. "I mean, we can take care of ourselves, y'know. But if you want? Sure." But Olgar can sense that she might simultaneously protest against and bask in the attention.

"I'll try to stick to food delivery and you decide when I have to go" He compromises

Another shrug. "Just, like, the apartment, right? Not on campus, okay?"

"You drive a hard bargain" he kisses her on the forehead "Now go help your mom like you wanted to"

"On it," Sylvi agrees and heads into the kitchen following her mom.

A proud look. His daughter may not always be easy to guide, but she also doesn't get pushed around.
