"Well, Jonas makes a pretty rocking tofu stir fry..."

"Hey, I can make rice! That is... with a rice cooker. We got one that you just fill to the line and push the button... " A laugh. "Even I can't mess that up."

"Except the time I forgot to add the water."

"You forgot the water? There's fried and there's charcoal" He advises

He is not using a rice cooker, at least not just, not for this...

and then, it's done.

He whips out a plate "There, how's that?"

"I've never heard of chickpeas in a stir fry.... but it smells great!" She accepts a plate!

"Well, if you don't like it, you can always burn rice yourself" A grin though "Tove does some crazy stuff with hot spices on top of it that works out"

A cautious first bite... and she laughs! "Tove's cooking is fantastic. I love her spicy cauliflower bites."

"I Hope I didn't over do the pineapple. I figure you liked that or so Siv said? SHe said warm climate stuff was your comfort food "

"She also does a good spicy Barbeque"

Piper is mid-mouthful, chews and rapidly swallows. "It's great!"

"Do you cook for Prissy?" Apparently behind on the gossip.

"Ah.." he stiffens ' not any more no, we broke up couple of months now"

"Oh! I'm sorry. I didn't mean to dig into that."

"Are you... um... you doing okay?"

A look at her "Been better" he shrugs "She. doing okay?"

"I haven't seen her in a while... but I could check in on her? Yeah. I'll do that."

"mmph" A shrug "She's got her life"

"Wasn't she living with the Lees - or staying with them? Did she move out?" She asks, uncertain - perhaps remembering incorrectly.

"Last I heard she moved out" A surprised look "She told us she found a place. I figured it was the apartments"

Her brow wrinkles a bit. "No, I haven't seen her there. I HAVE been spending a lot of time at the Studio, but... no, Rikki tries to throw a welcome party or prank for every new fae who moves in. I didn't get a party invite, and I have to imagine I'd have HEARD if she tried a prank on Prissy..."

"Then where the hell is she living? the street?" Dirk looks annoyed, which for a cap might translate to worry

"I'll ask around. I'm no boggan, but I know a lot of people."

"Yeah, you're a people person. Hey, you been in contact with that Boyd guy? "

"Reason I ask is you got a letter here with your name on it from him..."

A surprised look. "You know my bio-dad?"

"Oh! Let me see!"

He sorts through the mail and sure enough, there's one that says 'To Piper Mousekinny'

She raises a brow at that name, u but opens the letter eagerly.

There are pictures of him in costume, but also some tickets for a show in Jersey City in the first week of November, four tickets

"Do you mind if I take a bit home? I bet it will nuke up better than a frozen quinoa bowl."
