Another day, another donut.

Siv comes in with donuts

"DOnuts for... anyone?" A look around

"Wow. No one here for donuts" She leaves it on the table for any to partake of.

She pauses, and takes a picture with her camera

Then starts texting, blinks "Oh wow. I'm a bitch"

Siv takes time to put half the donuts away carefully into something that will keep them fresh, trying to recall Sylvi and Dagmar's favorite types.

And her best guest at what will rot at the flavor Symon would like, but that's a crap shoot

And she leaves a note with the other half Gone to drop off the other half of the donuts to the Rutgers crew. Enjoy these freely

And soon she is off.

Oak sniffs the donuts that he's sure, with effort, he could get to. But he's a good boy, and his kids are watching his example

It's hard to be a good dog some days. Sigh

Kerri is the one to discover the half-box of donuts. She checks the note. "Aww. Nice, Siv."

"What's the story?" Sally Mae asks peeking in

"Hm? Oh, Siv was sweet and brought a box of donuts, half for here and half for the Rutgers bunch. She's actually driving down there with them. I suppose it's as good an excuse as any for a visit."

"Devious and nice at the same time" Sally Mae eyes one of hte donuts "Oh dear, and tempting. Those don't look like the usual dunkins"

Indeed, Kerri can tell these are higher quality. SHe's not familiar with the style of the box

"No, these are...hm...where are these from?" She looks at the lid to see if there's a bakery name on them.

There isnt! A generic box, but these aren't generic donuts. Custom made

"Well, whoever made them certainly has a nice touch with decoration." And yes, she's also tempted. That strawberry-frosted one is calling her. "Oh...why not. You having one, Sally Mae?" she asks as she picks up her choice.

"A temptation shared is a temptation of less shame" Sally Mae grins and grabs one with bavarian cream

And temptation is given in to.

They're REALLY good!

Mmm she's gotten into contests against folks who weren't this good

Sallly Mae savors and gives a little mmm of pleasure

"Mm! Okay...this is...mmm... I need to find out where she got these."

"Never wanted to wilow whisper a donut before"

Kerri may actually feel a bit envious of the skill.

"Now there's a thought... or I could just ask Siv when she gets back."

"Be another hour at least" She says

"Wellll...." She considers, then takes a big lick of the frosting as a bunk before whispering, "Hey...who made you?" to the donut.

It whispers back "Hemmingway's hands, inspired to greatness"

Sally mae raises a brow and whispers "I thought the guy was a writer?"

"Hemmingway?" Kerri mutters with surprise. "Is this Hemmingway a mortal?"

"Yes, a dreamer with baked goods" the donut sounds proud, "Before Hemmingway I was but flower and sugar and basic things"

"And...who inspired Hemmingway to such greatness?"

A glance to Sally Mae and a grin -- somebody's been musing, and she's curious who!

"Oh but I wish I knew, but the encouragement lingered "

Kerri tries one more, hoping the cantrip will hold out. "Where can I find Hemmingway?"

"At 'The Yeast Also Rises' Bakery, newly opened on Yew and Baker drive"

Sally mae snickers at that

"Well...I guess I know where I'll be visiting tomorrow. Not to poach..." she reassures Sally Mae. "I just want to make sure this Hemmingway is thriving."

That is, assuming the address is within Rivervale's territory?

As the cantrip has fizzled out, she finishes up the delectable donut.

And they savor Hemmingway's donut, one each, the essence of control.
