"So, Symon, could you do the thing?"

His eyes are narrowed and he looks thoughtful as he considers the painting.

Vali sips his drink

"You already know what she looks like. What more are you looking to find out?" He considers. "We don't know that she was the one who painted it, only that she had it. I can probably..." Still thinking this through.

"Might be able to see a bit into the past of the painting itself. If it was made recently, might get a glimpse of the painter. Or if not, if Miss Red was just someone selling it? It doesn't sound from what you told me that she has much of a solid living arrangement. Most likely it wasn't in her hands for long. Something like this would get trashed or stolen in a shelter or on the streets. So if she didn't paint it, I might get an idea where it came from."

"The girl's been tied to two items. A wooden carving too. How's she finding stuff about US? If she's not making it"

A small raise of a narrow brow. "A painter of this caliber, AND a woodworker who can make something to that level of detail? One I'd believe - two is a big stretch."

"Agreed, yet she got her hands on both. Odd."

The sound of footsteps on the gravel outside, heading up the path to the Lodge.

"Well, Does Frank already know about your Chronos?"

"Don't think so." He frowns.

"If I'd been focusing more on Autumn, I might be able to put a curse on her." He says, apologetically.

"Might be a rush. Well, it can wait a bit longer but from what I understand the backward glance has limits. As for cursing? No, not yet. She could be an innocent"

"Make it easier to track her down." A shrug, accepting Vali's decision.

The door opens; Frank steps in, and is carefully to leave his boots at the door before coming much further.

Oak's happy bark and wag

and Dirk stomps in

"I'll do what I can, but might be easier to sic a wisp on her then question her." A chin jerk greeting to Dirk, and he adds, "I bet Dirk could get honest answers out of someone, easily as any Gwyd or Pooka, with half the effort."

"Hey boy." Frank stops to greet Oak.

"Mountain. News." he says, straightening up.

"Hey, who do I get to lean on?" Dirk asks eager

"Go ahead and fill me in, Frank. But get yourself a seat and drink " Vali says

"Someone breaking the right of ignorance, looks like."

"Name em, and i'll get answers" DIrk nods

"Working on that part."

Oak is enjoying the petting

"Our red-head's street name is Bunni. Might be her real name, not sure. She was seen at the homeless camp down at Watson Park between 4 days and a week ago; she was carrying, maybe working on, a wooden carving."

"Got anyone around that can send a wisp out? You have a use name and a description, that's enough to go off of."

"I could try it. If she's mortal."

"Although that assumes we have the right description, and a valid name."

Vali ponders "More than one of us could. I hate going in blind but this is tricky"
