"You two are reaaally taking this serious" Gerd says. She's brought in the supplies

Kerri looks from Gerd to Kourtney. "Pardon me, Ronin, but would you like me to take this any less seriously?"

"No way" Kourtney says and gives Gerd an offended look "Gerd, this is a challenge, no less than a duel"

"Sorry sorry" Gerd squirms

"Tell us what we've got, Gerd."

She pulls out "I grabbed some random stuff here, we got Cranberry Beans," She sets out out more "Salmon, Ginger and nutmeg spices, oh, and brussel sprouts and eggplants because really, you guys wanted a challenge. Blah eggplant" Gerd says

"Oh" She pulls out "And TAPIOCA FLOUR because regular flour seemed like cheating"

"Blah, eggplant?! Ohhh, Gerd, we've got some territory to cover in your culinary experiences. Okay..." She gathers up her share of the ingredients.

And Kourtney gathers hers "Really , Eggplant aint bad if you put a bit of love into it"

"Blame Uncle Vali. He won't eat Eggplant either. And the one time I tried it, yuck" Gerd says stubbornly

"It can be screwed up easily, it's true. But do it right? It's a blast."

"And you will get it right" Kourtney agrees

"I expect you to apply some right-ness to yours, as well. Gerd, how long have we got?"

"One hour sound right? " Gerd says "or too easy?"

"Hmm..." Kerri looks at the ingredients, then at Kourtney. Uh-oh...she's got a pretty good poker face. "Your call, Ronin."

"One hour seems traditional according to some shows, with time for commercials" wryly

She sets a timer for an hour, and then says "We begin in 10....8 ... 6.... 4... 3, 2, 1.. BEGIN"

Kerri's movements are sheer efficiency as she lays out her tools for making the meal and...stops...and spends a full 3 minutes making notes on a small pad of paper.
