Piper gets tackled when she gets back , Siv picking her up! "Oh baby, you okay?"

And Jordan trots along side olgar "I don't get it. Why did we have to stop for a gift for your wife? It's not her birthday"

"Because normally I warn her I expect trouble. This time I didn't .. I mean, I didn't expect it, and that's not my faullt, but it IS my problem, and was her burden. So if this helps show her I appeciate her keeping the light on for me? Damn straight it's worth it" Olgar educates "It's not about customs, it's about compassion"

Piper squeaks as she's tackled. "I'm... yeah, I'm good. Fine. Great, actually."

"Uh huh? you know I'm going to strip search you for bruises or cuts right? " Siv fusses "I ... you helped save the day? "

"I didn't mean to. I just was worried about the firebrands being lost out there in all that awful snow... and Sylvi was worried about her Da..."

"oh , Piper ... don't you know it's even more heroic when do it for others instead of your own glory?"

"There's not enough glory in all of Arcadia to make me go out in the snow, you know that!" She grins to Siv.

"Ha! I was surprised... how did you deal with the freezing?" She picks her lady up to carry her in her arms

Jordan says to Olgar "you realize how big a softie that makes you sound?"

Olgar smirks "Others have thoughtt so, they were welcome to test their assumptions, but I don't heatherbalm"

"Ah .. point" Jordan ahems and has a more respectful smile

Tossing her arms around Siv's neck, she whispers, "You know your old treehouse? I bet it's full of snow right now. Let's meet Jonas up there and I'll show you."

Kerri didn't emerge as soon as the came in, but she does now. Warm welcoming smiles for all as she puts platters of welcome-home food on the tables. But oh-boy does she reserve a glare for her husband and daughter.

"Okay, this is sounding downright kinky" Siv brightens "you sure?"

Sylvi cringes slightly behind her dad. "Umm."

"Hearth Kerri?" Piper can afford to be brave, safe in the arms of her Knight. "To tell the truth, going out there all willy-nilly was my idea. I just dragged Sylvi with me."

The Hearth was not expecting to her her Mighty Mom Glare intercepted by...tiny PIPER of all people. "You dragged her?"

Olgar nods to his daughter, then pulls out a gift for his wife "Sorry it took so long. I did a bit of shopping"

"Oh she's stronger than she looks" Siv says "Wiry"

"I was worried about the firebrands! And I could tell Sylvi was worried about her da, even if she was going to be all "Ohh Nooo I'm A Stalwart Troll And Cannot Falter in My Duty."

Oh, the one-two punch, first Piper and then a gift from Olgar. "What is...oh...you're trying to get out of trouble," she says with a brow...but she takes the gift.

"I do not sound like that," Sylvi complains to Piper.

Footsteps crunching in the ice-crusted snow outside announce the return of the Chieftain even before she opens the door to see the crowd that has arrived victoriously.

"I'm trying to show you how much I appreciate how you endure my little surprises, the unwelcome ones, by giving you a hopeully pleasant one" Olgar says "getting out of trouble is just a perk"

Siv chuckles "you kinda do, Sylvi"

"Hmmmph," Kerri says to Olgar, giving him a skeptical look. And then she grabs him into an embrace and gives him a welcome-home kiss that should warm him right down to his toes.

Olgar is WARMED, and returns it

"dawww" Siv smiles

"Do not!" Sylvi protests. Then a smirk at her parents.

She stage-whispers to Siv, "I knew she couldn't stay mad at him."

Siv whispers back "Amazing you're an only child"

Brekke steps in and looks around the group. "You have returned. Good."

"Mom! Piper went out to help and save the day" Siv says proudly

Kerri breaks away from the kiss and clears her throat, blushing slightly. "Chieftain, yes, they just got back."

A blink from Brekke. "Piper did?"

Sylvi pokes her mother and whispers, "Open the gift!"

A small pout. "You don't all have to sound so surprised."

Olggar does not blush, grins wolf like, then says "yeah Chief. Longg story, but Winter should be natural for a bit... and yeah, Jordan, Sylvi and Piper done good. My daughter was a pro. Listened to hr dad about trod battles"

"I am surprised, Piper," Brekke says reasonably. "And very pleased."

A nod to Olgar, appreciating his pride. "It is good that you gave her this knowledge. I wish to hear all of the story. Is Mountain Vali here?"

"It's the fact that you went in the snow wha surprised me, Piper" Siv admits "I did worry, but I suppose tha's how you feel when I'm off doin derring do"

"Over here" Vali waves from a desk

A nod from Brekke to Vali. "I will ask you to record what they tell us, as best you can." And Vali learns that, yes, Mountain seems to involve a fair amount of taking dictation.

Kerri has given into her daughter's nudging and has opened the gift from Olgar and is peeking inside.

Olgar obliges, and talks of nigghtmare energies fueling a White Witch, of ice covering the silver to bypass it's protection, how buck uncovered this and warned him... and what they can remember of BIG ass dogs and several other folks helping, most called by Baron Aiden

Kerri looks positively verklempt.
