"Come back to bed." Piper says sleepily.

"Kay... but I felt attacked for some reasonn.. or pegged anyway"

Siv rejoins her sliding into the sheets

"What time is it, anyways?" She reaches over to check her phone, set on DND for 'quality time'.

She almost falls out of bed. "Jesus... how long ago did this text come in? Siv, help me find my pants!"

"Oh...? OH!" And she helps dig around "Heree ..wait, those are mine"

"Ah, here.. "

She pulls them on, hopping to get her legs in in a hurry. "911 text from Sylvi... I better get over to Goldfinch."

"Need me to drive you?"

"Oh, would you? I could run over, but it's hella cold." A kiss on Siv's cheek, accomplished only because the Troll is still reclining.

She is putting on her pants "Surre. just donn't tell dad how fast I drive. He worries"

"I don't think it will come up, no."

Soon the two head down stairs, and into the car "Any details on the text or just a 'get your fuzzy buns' overhere?"

"Nothing! Not sure if the freehold burned down or if she lost her mascara..."

"Either a crisis" A smirk and nod, once Piper has her seatbelt on, Siv begins driving.. once clear away from the lodgge, she speeds up

She cranks up some driving music on the radio.

And fade to Zoomy drive music !

Tiffany pulls the dumbells up and down, her son in the play pen nearby. Music plays, and she has her legwarmers and headband on

Kerri comes out of the kitchen with a load of towels to put in the linen closet. A bemused grin. "Lookin' ripped, Ms. Fonda."

"Have you seen my figure? " She huffs "I think it ran away when I had the baby" workingg in time "How goes, Hearth?"

"Don't know what you're talking about," says the fellow mother with a wink. "At the moment, all seems well. I mean..." she stacks the towels neatly in the linen closet "...tense, of course, but as well as can be imagined." She comes over to the play pen and crouches down. "How's the weather down here?" she asks the baby.

"Gglrb?" says the baby

"Well, wait twenty minutes, it'll change." She stands again. "Need some water, Thane?"

"Stormette did well, parimter sweeps, no solo acts... cavalry and infantry... need to tell the boss ... and I wouldn't say no to H2 annd O"

A moment to process the pooka-speak, then a nod. "Coming right up." She heads back into the kitchen for a moment.

Soon, she returns with a large jug of water and two glasses. She pours one for Tiffany and hands it over, then one for herself.

"Muchos grass." She takes a break "Just sayingg MarDag took to it like a duck to a sailor cap"

"MarDag?" Another bemused look, then a nod. "I got that impression. Yes, I liked what I saw, too. She set the patrols without feeling the need to double-check that she was doing it right. And it seemed like she did do it right."

"Is it just me, or is there some grooming going on?" She wags her tail

"Well...it's wise to have a deep line of back-ups when it come to Storm," Kerri says matter-of-factly. "And Dagmar's definitely a natural fit."

"Oh yes.. so .." She eyes Kerri "Who's taking over for you when you're vakaying in Fiji?"

"Oh, well..." She sips her water. "Of course, SallyMae and Brogan are both more than capable of filling in, and Gerd is always willing to help." A bit vague.

A brow ,and sip.. "Coaxity Coax"

As the oh so subtle pooka nudge of boonn connfidant is attempted

A narrow look. "Hmm. I feel like you're nudging me towards a hey-old-woman-get-out-of-the-way talk."

Ears perk up in surprise "Wha? Oh sorry no. I can't boil water" Not entirely untrrue. she can barely cook "I just hear rumors about the Bukey Doos Hearth"

"Bukey Doos...." She sounds it out a few times, puzzling, then, "Oh! DeBukes. Sorry, a bit slow. And...well...I like to hope I've got a few more years ahead of me before I face what Agnes is facing. But..." a sigh "... well, yes, that situation has gotten me thinking that I should...probably...formalize something. I'll get to it." Sip.

"You okay? Sometimes facing our own mortality can be slobbering"

Brows up. "I'm not anywhere close to my mortality yet, thank you."

"That's the fun time about being a swanmay, miscommunications happen... you're seeing a peer who is way ahead of you in years, but you ca't tell me that... well, watching the yew of a century from now strugle doesn't worry you?"

A frown. "Agnes had it all planned out. Then the plans unraveled. So maybe there's no point in making too many plans too far ahead."

A nod "Kay. How can I help?"

She purses her lips a moment, reluctant, but...pooka. "It sounds awful...but we've got sort of the same issue here that they have at the Farm. Lodge equals Trolls. Storm, Hearth, and Mountain have, so far, always been trolls. So...do I tap an experienced kinain or other kith as my official successor? Or do I focus on another member of my kith?"

"If only there were some commoner mews nearby so the lodge could continue ancient giant rites and lefts without guilt? Some little place with..music and studio down time?"

A puzzled look. "How does Goldfinch resolve the issue of who becomes the next Hearth?"

"It means that if you're allowed to be traditional and look for a blue suede mitten without feeling kithist. You got time to size and fit. Ask the Chieferino if you're really worried aboutt OFFICIAL policy"

Her brow furrows a bit. "I guess that's true...." A pause. "So, I actually have been considering asking Gerd to take on a bit more Hearth work...but...I don't want to get in the way of her plans. All of our girls -- Sylvi, Dagmar, Siv, Gerd, all of them -- they've got tons of loyalty to the Dreaming, but they've also got big mortal dreams, too. I don't want to interrupt those possibilities."
