Frank nods. "I have heard that can be effective. Something about asking for the names of the review board? After getting a handle on the immediate needs; long term? Counseling of the family, educational needs, take a look at Jeff Senior's employment situation?"

"Yes, with my guidance it should be all benefit them" She makes notes "I'll have to move a few folks around for other sittuations"

"Only for the better." Frank clarifies "No one should lose for the Croix to gain. I appreciate it is a difficult balancing act."

"It can be" she admits "I'm afraid I'm going to bully Jonas for more help. Siv and Piper are going to be cross with me"

"May I be of assistance?"

"Frank, you just got your freedom of the road back, I haven't seen you so happy in awhile. I'm not going to try to keep from that by adding to your work load"

"Appreciate that, Ms. Anne Marie, but I'm home for a couple weeks. Holiday vacation. As long as I'm here, I can help." he points out reasonably. "And, this -is- kind of what I do."

"Mrs.. happily hitched" A smile though then "So instead of just stealing Dame Siv's boyfriennd's time, you want me to steal the Chief's time with you? My word, Sir, you're as fussy as a boggan about helping" She ponders "Bu you're right. You're no novice. I could sure use you in some local transport, getting them furniture and other things. Supplies for the boggans repairing etc. Of course, if you have other areas you want to contribute, so be it"

"Apologies on that honorific." contritely "Happy to help. Just let me know where and when."

"Well..." She hands him some papers "If you're willing to vouch for the family as a citizen?"

"I am. " he looks the papers over.

"Thank you. I may ask you to help Jonas deliver a few thinggs to other folks"

"Can do. Just let me know.... and thank you." Frank nods respectfully, and stands.

"oh my mannerrs, did you nneed something o eat?"

A soft chuckle. "No, Ma'am, thank you. Kerri keeps us all comfortably full."

"Oh she's a wizard, that one"

"She is a blessing to us all. As are you."

"Flatterer, now forgive me, I need to get started on my side of things"

"Of course. Thank you." Frank bows and carefully makes his way out of the little house and to his own home.

And he does, walking home.

And sees Siv, looking a bit grumbly

He nods as he approaches.

"Dame Anne Marie has stolen my boyfrriend, and Sylvi has my girlfriend on a job"

"Mm."

"Yeah yeah, you're busting with sympathy, I can tell" Then more sympathetically herself "This new family you found has it hard?"

He lifts an eyebrow, but answers her question rather than responding to her statement. "Yes. They do. But they have help, now."

"How can I help?" She says "Sorry, I shouldn'tt grumble when I can be useful. Need me to take on your patrols a bit while you help the Croix?"

"Thank you for the offer. Might take you up on it. Right now, Anne Marie and I have it handled."

"Okay" She gives her dad a hug

"Mmphm." but he hugs her back.

"Maybe you can talk Dutch into making regular jobs in the North East. You two seem to get along"

"Well enough." he agrees "His truck needs work."

"So this ...brottherhood of the road kind of thing? Legit?"

Frank pauses for a bit, thinking. "Can be. Depends, Siv. It's not a blanket thing."

"Suppose nnot..." Siv considers "Just starting to understand better"

"Mm?"

"That you love the road like I love the sea, or mom loves the woods"

Another pause. "Something like that, yes."

"Okay, whatt is it like then? If you'll say?"

"I like helping people." he says simply "People stranded on the road need help."

"More, I think... I -need- to help mortals. It is the Oath I made."

She nods "Liam oath?"

"I have only made two, Siv. Yes, my House Oath."

A smile at something "I can guess the other one. Okay. I'm going on patrol"

Frank nods. "I'm going to head back to the Lodge. I'll see you there?"

"Definitely , might be a bit" She nods and resumes patrol

And Frank continues home.
