"What is your problem?" Lut asks as he comes in from patrol.

"My problem is you refuse to take my side in this," Tig says "I'm telling you, that Scathach just blew me off. I got irked about it sure. Frank even told me to rein it in but ..geesh. You never met a colder woman"

"You mean banal, or just not hot for you?" Lut asks

"Same thing" Tig said

"Come on, what did she say that was that bad?" Lut ask

Tig quotes, his voice becoming higher note "I know of you, Thane Tig. And what you tend to offer women when they fall for that flattery. It's fine for some. Now back to business,"

Lut fights the urge to laugh

"It's not funny" Tig says

"Yes it is. Tig, maybe you're just not used to women who... are looking for more than a one night stand?"

"Look, you found your lady that's great. Sure, I never see you anymore because your'e so whipped..." Tig says "But you really think I'm pining because some girl mistakes me for a hit and quit it type of troll?"

Kerri comes in from the kitchen, bringing out a fresh tray of mugs for the coffee service. "Hello, you two. Any interesting patrol news?"

"Oh no. " "Nope dull dull" "Very tedious" "But we love our work" they clam up.

which means they're hiding something

"Mm-hm." Nope, she's not buying it. "Beers?" she offers.

"Sure" A slight smile from Tig

"One wont' kill me, Thanks, Hearth" Lut says

"Be right back," she says and heads back into the kitchen.

In just a few moments, she returns with not two but three frosty glass mugs of beer. "Grab a seat, gents."

Grunt ("Oh oh") Lut says/ Mmm ("Don't divulge anything, Lut you noodle") Tig says

but they take their seats, "Thank you" They both say

A smirk ("Too late") and she takes a seat as well, sliding their mugs to them.

"All's well at home, Lut?"

"Oh yeah, Gray's great" He says, and seems quite happy. Gray is his girlfriend's last name, but the Gym Teacher gets called Ms Gray at high school so much that clearly she's comfortable with it. Otherwise she wouldn't have moved with him to the apartment complex where he patrols. "She thinks some of our neighbors are nuts, but she rolls with it. She does get overworked, but massages and dark wines in moderation seem to help"

Kerri chuckles and sips her beer. "They tend to, in most cases. And how about you, Tig?"

"Fantastic" He says leaning back a bit "You know me. Last of the red hot bachelors here"

"Sounds like a perpetual party!" she says, taking another sip.

"Yep. Poor Lut can't get a note from the teacher to come out and play after class " Tig smiles. Joking

but it's the kind of joke twinged with a touch of hurt, and envy both

Lut looks over "Oh come on man, we've invited you to the apartment before"

Raised brows. "You're suggesting Lut is a child because he enjoys time with his wife?"

"Lut, she tolerates me , mostly. ANd.. no Hearth. I'm just teasing a bit" A shrug "At least Gray doesn't act like I'm some teen punk just trying to get into her pants."

A blink. "That sounds like...a comparison."

"He ran into this Scathach agent of Teaneck, " Lut says "Been blabbing about how dismissive she was ever since"

"Oh?" A sip. "Teaneck does have some interesting characters. What's her name?"

"Oh she's nobody, just this weird reverse stuck up Scathach sidhe woman with a long pony tail of raven black goes down past her waist but of COURSE it never seems to get in the way. Has that 'look I wear plain dark leathers' but some how they shine and fight me tighter than leather should. But hey, don't call her lady. She is as common as me and she works for a living" A snort

"And her name is Isla" He adds realizing he didn't answer the question at first

A bemused look. "Quite the nobody."

"Xactly... she tried to 'out duty' me, like she's the professional so I must be slacking? Please. Thinks she knows me too. Just because her boss is Spymaster doesn't mean all her reports are right or fair. right? Right."

Lut meanwhile, hides his mouth with his drink from Tig's viewing and mouths 'won't. shut. up. about. her'

A quick glance to Lut, but she schools her expression...somewhat. To Tig, she says, "I didn't know you had become a mindreader."

"Oh she did NOT try to hide it. It was so weird. Normally if a sidhe cops a tude, it's 'Baron von Blueblood' but this girl, oh no, she's better than I am at being a thane or retriever or whatever. And she judged me first. You want to know what she said to me?"

"I'm all ears," she says, leaning forward a bit.

"Hmm." A bit of a grin, and she takes another sip.

"I mean, what the heck is on my file there? I treat women with respect. I always make sure we both have a good time. I aim to please. What's immature or unprofessional about that?" He asks

Lut mutters in his glass, "So professional you should charge for services"

"Lut..." Kerri chides gently.
