They see images of Sylvi with tears, but also a jaw lift of pride... PIper holding power in her hands, and she steps in front of the hold fire looking as tall as any troll, a song formin into a shield

Brekke watches intently...and nods. "That is good."

"Not all of these things will happen at once, and symbol and action blend and blur in our world... "

Frank grunts.

"Yes," Brekke nods. "But it is still good?" Checking.

"yeah, yeah it's great" A smile.

"Good." Some relief. Then an apologetic look to the balefire.

Olgar comes in chuckling "Not sure I'm needed tonight"

Kerri turns and looks him over appraisingly...and grins. "I wouldn't say that, stud."

Brekke turns in Frank's arms to look at him, a guarded look.

Olgar grins "Well, I know how you are about slackers.." He moves to kiss his wife

Kerri kisses him back, emphatically.

Meanwhile, Brekke nods to Frank about something, eyes lowered again. "Hearth..." she rasps in a low tone.

Vali says "Enjoy your samhain, folks. Let the Rookie man the fort. Tiffany has the baby"

Kerri breaks from the kiss just long enough to say, "We've got it, Storm. Done. Get out of here." A nod at Vali's words, and a warning look to Frank.

Olgar grunts and nods

Frank doesn't glare back; his expression is emotionless. She can come at him, or not; up to her.

He shifts to one arm is around Brekke, and he leads them out of the Lodge into the woods.

Brekke looks to the Balefire again, and mutters, "Blessed Samhain," more out of obligation than celebration. Then she allows Frank to draw her away.

The flames seem send a weary kind of comfort as she and Frrank depart

"Mountain, are you planning on more castings?" Kerri asks.

"A few more, Passion first, but duty needs be done."

"You need somebody to watch your back, then," she says, shifting in her husband's arms, swaying as if there's some music playing. "We'll stick around."

"I have Oak" He gestures "And Tiffany will be here. She's got a chimerical boom stick. You two have fun"

She gives him a skeptical look. "You've already raided a cupcake tonight. You think I'm going to leave my kitchen unguarded around you?"

Olgar grunts and mutters "Kerri, you can't tell me our samhain time is less important than some cupcakes? Come on, baby, passion before duty for one night. I'll foot the bill for groceries"

"It's the principle of the damn thing, Olgar," she replies, miffed...but his arms around her make a persuasive argument. "What did you have in mind, instead?"

He whispers and tells her...a few suggestions quite...appealing

Oh, yes, Kerri can agree that several of those suggestions would make most efficient use of their time....

"Call us if you need anything, Mountain," she says as she takes Olgar's hand and all but drags him out of the room.

He nods. then once they're ggone, he looks to Oak "How about I cut you in for a third of all the food I steal?"
