The squire does look up "It's an interesting book, but my eyes are getting tired, can I take a break?"

"Yes, of course."

"Thank you, Sir Franklyn" She moves to the kitchen, then sighs and has a conversation "But Squire Brogan, I can make my OWN sandwiches"

"Absolutely not, the Hearth left me in charge of food preperation" comes the Daireann's voice

"But... " The Liam says "What if you get it wrong? You've only seen me make it once"

"Peanut Butter , you prefer crunchy to smooth, jelly or jam, you prefer strawberry to apple or grape" Brogan's voice says "Ask Sir Franklyn if he'd like a sandwich too? I know what he likes as well"

Kassedy rolls her eyes, then mutters "I DO like Crunchy better.." Before asking in a clearer voice "Sir Franklyn, would you like something to eat? Squire Brogan wanted me to ask."

"That would be nice, thank you." he responds "Classic PB&J please."

"Yes sir" And she calls it in "Classic PB&J for Sir Franklyn"

"Got it" And soon the sandwich assembly begins

Kassedy rejoins Sir Franklyn "I've never seen a sidhe who likes the kitchen that much."

The giant nods. "Brogan was squired to Kerri... you could say he was apprenticed, and a better choice couldn't be made. Kerri is a marvel."

"She does make the best macaroni and cheese" the girl gushes, clearly the Hearth's charms are not lost on her "I mean, SO much better than the boxed stuff"

Frank nods. "It is."

Squire brogan comes out with two sandwiches

"Thank you, Squire." Frank rumbles "Will you join us?"

"One moment, Sir and I shall. What would you like to drink with it?" he asks

"Strawberry milk?" Kassedy inquires

Brogan nods

"And you, Sir Franklyn?" The squire asks

"Same."

"Yes sir" And he vanishes with almost boggan like speed

Only to return with the drinks, and his own PBJ and CHOCOLATE Milk for himself

"Now" Squire Brogan inquires "What shall we talk about for meal conversation?"

"is.. that a thing here?" Squire Kassedy inquires of Sir Franklyn

"Yes." Frank confirms. "Polite conversation at meal times is a civilized past time and enriches the meal. I miss it when I'm on the road, and enjoy it when I come home."

"Oh" Squire Kassedy says "No one really wants to talk to me much at Caer Falken.. uhm.." A smile as she thinks of something to talk about "Oh, Squire Connor told me of the mysterious Shadowpaw Clan that protects the lands and tree swings?"

Frank's beard moves. "Yes. They are a powerful but secretive clan, so the legend says."

Kassedy gives a brow of dubiousness "So there are real?"

"Of course" Brogan joins in, his eyes sparkling

"But he's a pooka, a NICE pooka, but... there must be something not quite truthful about it?" she asks

"The first rule of the Shadowpaw is you don't talk about the Shadowpaw." Frank says gravely.

"Otherwise it's not mysterious" Brogan adds

Kassedy sighs "The world is so cruel to the curious"

"I thought was an Eiluned thing?" Brogan says

"It's also a Kassedy thing" Kassedy says primly, then smiles "But Connor IS nice. So is Lane, she's so darn sweet"

"Wait till you meet Lily, don't take it personal when she tries to scare you" Brogan shrugs

"We are blessed with our childlings." Frank agrees. "All of them. And the Wilders as well; much to be proud of."

"Well, you're a nice grump, Sir" Kassedy assures him

"He's okay" Brogan agrees

"Thank you."

Frank takes a sip of his strawberry milk.

A warrior's drink

Brogan says "Sir Franklyn, would you like me to prepare some travel food for your journey when you go? It will save you some money and time on the trip.. and frankly probably taste better than some offerings"

"That would be nice, Brogan. Thank you."

"You're welcome. The Hearth and I know what you like" He says

"Do all Daireann cook?" The Liam asks

"Not all but many do, hospitality is important to us and a Dairiean likes to be able to provide for guests whether they've come to a grand hold, or his small apartment"

"Kerri is an excellent mentor In that regard."

"Ah.. yes" Kassidey suddenly looks a bit cautious, more than a bit "Well, I am sure she's busy and has her own squire"
