For Frank, he finds himself just Sir Franklyn , or just Frank King, or even just a husband and father... and he is remarkably cool with that

Oak's good with it, in fact, Oak's one of the only folks who didn't think he was sick.

There's a knock at the door

Frank crosses over and answers it. "Hello?"

There is an 9 year old sidhe childling before him, a ..girl? "Begging your pardon, are you Sir Franklyn?" She wears blue and silver, but her clothing is dingy and rather travel worn, even the voile

"I am." not without gentle concern.

"Thank you, Sir, I'm very sorry for coming this messy, but there was rain like a bajillion gallons, and so much mud... and frankly, sir, I had a rough time getting to you."

"But that's my problem, not yours, I'm just trying to explain why my naturally curly hair is all frizzed and my boots are dirity" She wipes her boots on the mat outside

"oh, may I come in?" She adds after the long pause

"Of course you may, forgive my manners." he stands aside "Let me get you something to eat and drink, and a towel. We can find some dry clothes for you, too."

"Thank you, Sir. I'm Squire Kassidy..."She comes in, "Ap Liam, of course, which works great for both of us"

"Squire Kassidy, House sister, welcome to Rivervale."

"Please, take a seat by the 'Fire and I will bring you something."

"Thank you, Sir. It'll be a pleasure to work with you, but, isn't it my place to bring you something?"

"Not... just yet."

He goes about gathering a warm drink and food and a towel.

"Would you like a moment to clean up?"

"I have a change of clothes in my duffle... where is a shower? I'll be more presetable"

"Allow me to show you." Frank says respectfully, and guides her to an available room/bathroom.

And in she goes. While Frank lets her deal with that, Oak wags at him and looks curious

"We'll see." he rumbles, and goes back down to put together a food board.

Shortly, Kassidy comes back in a fresh change of clothes, though these hardly look too fancy. Worn blue jeans with a T shirt of blue, but it has chimerical writing on it You may think I'm a nut today, but if I hold my ground I'll be tomorrow's mighty oak

"This is very generous, Sir." The Squire observes, and seeing the food "Shall I say grace?"

"I've eaten, Squire; this is for you but we serve trolls here so...." not without humor "Please, observe for yourself and do eat."

"Oh great maker of all dreams, thank you for this meal, bless the hands that had anything to do with itt coming to be, and.. bless Sir Frank Amen." And she digs in "So do I have chores after this, Sir? And am your first squire? You'll be my first knight"

Frank takes a seat near her. "We'll see."

"Squire Kassidy. Please forgive me. I am not aware of having asked for a squire. Your appearance is a surprise, but welcome, to be sure."

"Oh, of course ah, here, Sir" She stops eating to reach in her duffle bag and hands it over

Should he read the Letter, it appears to have the official chimerical seal of the County Seat

And is addressed to him.

A quick read? Now that he has 'Free time' Count Hemloc has given him a squire of his ow. Few oher kights WANT a Liam squire, but if Frannk does't want her eiher , the he has o findn another knight willin to take Kassiday off his hands

He reads it.

Frank keeps his expression stoic.

"Now I was old you were a trucker so I may miss a month or two ?"

"Annd I'm okay with that"

"We will see. For a time, I want us to .... learn about and from each other. For now."

"My name is Kassidy, I am roughly 9 years old, I a sidhe of House Liam, and your squire. I have naturally curly hair and silver eyes. I don't eat much, though I have a weakness for pastas...I know the basics on sword work, and I've been taught how to muse. I think mayonnaise is evil... or at least tastes it. Uhm, what else? I don't have a favorite music type, but I imainne when I'm a wilder it will involve whatever I think 'gets me'. I think Unicorns ARE cool as are dragons but for mysake you can't beat a good ole fashionned Sasquatch and they need to be in more heraldry. I don't have a mortal family to go to... I'm originally from Jersey, and can prove it" She thenn says loud and clear "i'm WALKIN HEEEREE! Fergghit about it"

"See. So.. what are you like, Sir Franklyn?"

After a long moment. "We're going to take this slow, Kassidy. If that's ok with you?"

"Do we haftta?" A pause "Sir?"

So Frank puts a pause on this Squire business at least until he can talk to his wife and Chief
