"Siv......"

"May I see what you have there?"

"Dad, if you can't trust the local spy, who can you trust?" she says somberly, then her chin wiggles and the smile escapes and she hands it over "It's like I said, copy of your records for Mountain work, and personal notes... also family events. Didn't working with Sir..pardon, Baron August improve my handwriting?"

He observes this as well as what she -actually- took notes on....

Frank sighs. "Siv."

"Yes?" A brow "Da. I am helping Vali. I am not fighting your choice anymore, however, I do see it as my duty to make up for your Boast Deficient syndrome for future generations. If I ever have a son or daughter of my own, I want to be able to say 'See, i's all true, this is the stuff in you, this is what you got from your grandfather'... and if I do not have such a child, there will be others who need a role model. Now, don't give me fuss and I won't think of getting a matching statue for Mom's at firnost"

He glowers at her.

But hands the notes back over.

"Please keep in mind the comfort level of the people you wish to honor."

"I will, it's a book of records, not a Psalm of Hosannas" She states "Vali agrees it's a good idea. He's already assembling one for Vegard. The Mountains are keepers of history but they are not outside of it"

Frank is forced to agree. "Fair."

"Glad you agree" She nods "No stop being fussy and accept some folks admire you" She rises up and kisses his cheek "Worse than Jonas"

"Mmphm."

"Same to you" She says but lets a smile slip "Now, before I go off is there something I can do for you or the lodge?"

"Not I."

"You honor the Lodge with your service, Siv." It's formal but nonetheless heartfelt. A compliment.

the young woman looks pleased "Thank you, father. Oh..." Another thought "Oak is looking out of sorts. You know him better than I, but I thought I'd tell you"

"Oak??" he looks around for the dog.

There's Oak, near the balefire, laying on his side and yes, he seems a bit sullen

"Hey, boy....." Frank goes over and lays down next to him.

Frank might notice signs of a chimeical bite, the skin isn't broken. Oak gives a obligatory wagg- He IS glad to see Frank

Frank lays down with Oak and shares space, just.... being together.

Eventually the tail wag becomes more authentic, and the ttwo buddie snuggle

There's a click of a cell camera

Frank looks over.

Siv is sheepish "You two were adorable. Mom will love it"

"She will," Kerri agrees, coming out of the kitchen to observe the tableau.

Siv shows Kerri right away "See? the bromance is there"

She carries a pile of freshly cleaned blankets and steps around Frank and Oak to make her way to the linen closet and put them away.

She pauses to look at the picture, and smiles. "That's a keeper."

Someone growls softly.

The Hearth gives Frank a bland blink. "Sorry? Don't think I hear you?"

Then a wink. "It's a good shot. You'll be glad to have it." She finishes putting away the things in the linen closet, then comes back to look at man and dog again.

Oak licks Frank as Frannk Growls

Who knows who growled? Or cleared their throat??

Whatever!

Well, Frank gets licked anyway

She chuckles and heads back to the kitchen.

"Hearth, I Have to drop off some records to Vali, but do you need any chores or such done?" Siv offers "Piper's out and about and excited about something so I have free time"

"Kerri, did Oak have .... was there a problem?" he asks from the floor.

Kerri gives a somewhat secretive smile for a moment, then says to Siv, "If you wouldn't mind picking up some more milk? Otherwise, I think we're good."

Then a puzzled look to Frank. "A problem? With Oak? I hadn't really noticed...." She comes closer and goes down on a knee on the far side of the dog from Frank.

"What's up, Oak, hm?" She ruffles his ears gently.

"Milk on the list" She nods "See you both later" Annd out she goes

"Later!" she calls to Siv, but her focus is on Oak.

Oak sighs.And if Kerri looks, she too might noticed the nip on the fur.. looks like some other canine gave a warning bite

He does like the ear ruffle

"Oh...mm, he's got a little something here..." she gently parts the fur to get a better look and a sense of the wound. Does it 'feel' like something heatherbalm would help with?
