"Frank, yo Frank?" Olgar calls out

A grunt from the kitchen, and it's not Olgar's love.

Olgar opens the kitchen "Frankie, there you are. I'm about to escort Fawn to Fenix for her new place. Wanted to know if you needed me to carry some letters to Jessica?"

The diminutive doesn't even get a glance. "Sent some recently with Holger. Thank you."

"Huh, that kid, unreptenntly seelie little guy. Cute though"

"A credit to himself and Jessica. I have told her so."

"Yup. Can't believe we're not keeping Daria. Every time I think I got a chance to close the Seelie lead around here" a nod "Fine. While you're there, could you get Kerri's left over ribs? I'm gonnna give them to Jessica"

"Daria is not ours to keep." but he gets the ribs and packages them.

"I know that" A snort "But admit it, you may miss some"

"They all seem to be good people, and adjusting well."

A nod "And there's Jordan. He's unseelie. He just needs to get a grip. He's.. been improving"

"Good."

Frank finishes the last of the dishes he was working on, and goes to put together a sandwich.

Olgar grabs the ribs "I worry he's made an enemy of Dagmar. Not sure how to patch those two"

"It might be up to them to 'patch'."

"I know I know.. just hate seeing two decent folk go at it"

At that, Frank -does- meet Olgar's eyes.

"Decent folk can disagree and find space to exist."

Olgar grins "Well, yeah, but i'm a very forgiving kind of guy"

A grunt, and Frank finishes his sandwich prep, taking a bite.

"OH well, I gotta go." A pause "Frank. For what it's worth? I'd like to think we do more than exist."

A longer pause. "Sometimes."

"Good times" A nod "See you around, frank."

Frank nods.

And off Olgar goes

Fawn peeks in "Mountain? Sorry, I wanted to thank you for your teaching"

He swallows a bite of sandwich and his beard moves. "You are more than welcome. Going to Renaissance?"

"I am," She smiles "And I think I'll be useful. Apparently the fact I know dialects maybe a pleasant surprise ? Siv told me the Couness was hoping I did. I tended some more isolated villagges that didn't exactly speak Spanish"

"That will be a great help."

"I know" Fawn grins "You know when I was younger I wanted ot save the world. now that i'm older, I'm just glad I can help anyone so we can keep them in the world. Could I ask you what your Jessica is like? I want to make a good impression"

He puffs a breath with amusement. "I think you're canny enough to know how to get a parent talking about his child....."

He leads her into the main room and pours a few drinks for them.

"Jessica is..." he searches.

"You must draw your own conclusions. Her Dream Dance was eventful. Her mortal life..... less than I would have made it, if I could. She has embraced her true nature, I think, and I am proud of her. She is unconventional. Focused on her duties. Effective."

"I thought duty focus was very conventional for trolls?" not a complaint, just further curiosity

"It is." with quiet pride.

"So in wha way is she unconventional if you don't mind me asking?"

"She carries a title greater than mine or her mother's, but is UnHoused."

"She... writes her own story."

"Oh!" A surprised look "I guess I'm still learning what is and isn't typical"

"A Countess does sound pretty up there"

Frank nods (with a beard shift) and recounts the ranks of nobility "Squire, Knight, Baron, Count, Duke... and King. Then High King. There are variations."

"Good lord" She shakes her head "That's a bit intimidating"

"Jess didn't take a title, at least, she tried not to. And when she did, at first, she tried to associate herself with a local, native, title."

"Chapulleh" A nod "I thought that was very noble"

"Precisely?"

The Mountain's tone suggests that was the point; that his daughter's efforts were noble.

"I mean, respecting another culture is the first step to .. " A shake of her head "Pardon, peaching to the choir"

A rumble of amusement. "Perhaps. But it is not unwelcome."
