Siv pulls Piper into her lap on the couch, "Cmere you" YOINK... reverse yeet

"Eep!" She squeaks, and laughs. "Not that I mind, but what brought this on?" Leaning up to smooch Siv on the chin.

"Oh, just realized how lucky I am" she says "And.. I didn't like us ..well, fighting isn't the right word, but I know I get sullen stubborn sometimes"

"Babe, you're talking to a satyr. Trolls don't exactly get an exclusive right to being stubborn."

"Which is to say, I get it." Smiles.

"Well, I know you like Rikki.. and even if she's not MY Friend she is yours." A humph "And Eden IS a sweetie. "

"Yeah... I still can't say I really understand why your dad went 100% HAM on them... but I guess it's in the past, and now they know better."

"See, I cann't see why you..ah, well." A nod "The past." She says "I actually went to Earth Runes to go check on old friends and feel sorry for myself at the same time. Don't worry, I sulked about other thinngs too. but talking there, I realized how lucky I am to have you, Jonas, and my family here. So mom and da don't always seem to think of how I can help and turn to me last ad yeah, that stings my ego a bit. But if that's my biggest problem. I'm good right? "

"You're always good. And if we never argued, we'd never be able to make up, right?"

She beams at that, "Aye. Making up IS fun." then a sigh "Of course, now I feel like a real bitch because there I was signing up to go after a prodigal if they need me onnly o find out poor Lane was hurt while I was gone. Mom's got to be FURIOUS."

"Oh, no! What happened? Did the kids try to get her to climb a tree or something? Wait, what's this about a prodigal?"

"Oh nevermind that " waving off the talk of prodigal or tryingg to "just a bit of help I was going tto offer before I knew about the centaur snnatcher." And she tells Piper what Gerd told her that Vali told her about poor lane

"Centaur snatcher?!" She is aghast. "But Lane is just a little kid! Tell me that your mom has a posse together to go smack this asshole down?"

"I don't know" She admits and a slight frown crosses her features, then passes with effort "She's likely working on details"

"Well, we should help out. Can I help? How can I help? I feel like lately I'm just sitting on my rump eating snacks and watching said rump grow..."

She eyes the rump "If I say more of you to love, I'm in trouble right?" A grin

A snort. "Well, you're not wrong. But that's not an excuse to laze around, not when there's work to be done, and not just busy work and chores, but something important!"

"Oh Piper, you do plenty. you still DJ at that club right?"

"Well, yeah, that's just a day job though."

"And when have you ever failed to come to our aid when we asked?" She says ,annd hugs her

She squeezes back. "I wish I could do more. The Lodge never really asks for help from me. Which... I understand. I'm not a fighter, or a magician, or a tracker or a scout. My usefulness is limited to entertainment, distraction, and sometimes babysitting."

"And inspiration" Siv says "oh what a selfish thing I've been. Feelingg overlooked as if it were only me who felt so."

"Who could possibly overlook you? Lady Captain Siv, the brave and mighty, sailor and warrior, knight and lover?"

"Possibly parents who will forever see me as a little girl" She chuckles, then says "But you know we can solve our own problems. First, I'll let the folks know you want to help. And you're a charmer, Piper. You might be better at learning more about this Centaur snatching more than some great honking trolls with murder in our eyes. And if they've got that covered, well, I might drag you along for fun on an adventure of my own seeking." A pause "After Beltaine. Dagmar has her big moment!"

She thinks about this. "I guess... I'm not directly affiliated with the lodge - or the barony for that matter. No oaths, titles, or even jobs like Peacekeeper and the like. Maybe my background as a... well.. a felon - I've made my peace with it!" She adds quickly before continuing, "Could lend credence to me as looking for more information about a potential windfall opportunity. You're the spy, love, but maybe I can pass off a lie."

"Oh hey, does that bother you? Not having something official ? "

"I don't think so. I get plenty of recognition and attention at work, and on tour. It's not that I need the validation, I just feel a bit... leechy, at times."

"Gadzooks, we've trollified you. You need a duty. Oh my poor pint sized snugglegoat, twasn't that long ago your biggest problem was linggering cold causingg your legs to build up static charges." She gives a dramatic hug "But we've ruined ye. Turned you all worried about having something to do. Another pan soul lost."

Okay, Melodramatic

She laughs and prods Siv in the side, right where she knows a ticklish spot. "It's not YOU, I don't think. You make me think of doing bad things... naughty things..." Grinning. "I'll blame it on the seasons, Spring is here and I'm having an ol' case of the Seelie-Feelies."

She chuckles then laughs aloud as her ticklespot is hit

"Oh! Should we get a gift for Dagmar? Something to celebrate her oathing? I've never been to one before. I mean, it was just her birthday, and she seemed to like the CDs I picked out, but this is different."

"Okay okay... but I still think you do more than you realize. Etsie would get lonely if not for you. And you've encouraged Jack Flap into singing and about the good things of being a satyr. And anyonne can talk to you. But if you want, I could patrol with you? " Then at the question, "Well, maybe you could play at Beltaine? Your own music IS a gift, you know?"

"Oh, I know it. But that's another thing... I don't have much in the way of subtlety. Like, when you go to a concert, you're THERE for the tunes and the show. But when you're watching a movie? The background music is supposed to enhance the scene, not detract from it, and if you find yourself distracted by the music, you'll miss the action. I need to practice on playing normally... otherwise I worry I'll overshadow things like Dagmar's event." A grin.

"Huh, a good point. Why not play something after the oathinng but list it as a tribute?"

"This is not... the greatest song in the world, no, oh, this is a triiibuuuuute!" She sings with a grin, but then nods. "That's a great idea. Do you think a gift is appropriate though? I admit, my knowledge of oathing ceremonies is lacking..."

"I think if you're really worried, ask mom"

"Not so much worried... but I wanted to do anything I could to make it special. Dagmar's been down lately, what with folk moving away."

"Aye. I've nnoticed it too. I miss Sylvi myself. Nadeen a little, but more Sylvi. But I'm happy for them too. Dagmar is...she had no home for SO long , no telling what hell she was going to go through. Finnally, she got a place, a family, and more.... a rock for her to cling to in the tempest of her life- but this one? This one didn't fail her. And she's forever grateful.. though she's given more to us than most ever imagined. So .. when tthe world pulls folks away, she sees it as a danger of bad things coming agian. "

"That said... I think you'll find that she'll be grateful for the friends who remain here making an effort to reach out to her. She might be in a mumph grumble mood but she still appreciates we try as long as we also respect space. She's ..an amazing girl" An admission "I was envious of her for such a long time. She's really more like Mom than I am. Quiet. Giving. Righteous. Smarter than folks give her credit for. She's the best knight among we wilders here, and yes, I am including myself in that."

"Well, on THAT we'll have to differ." She says fondly. "But Dagmar's not a bad second."

A kiss "Aw, you'll swell me head"

"I mean, Dagmar has a horse, and an entire menagerie... but can she take me boating?" A cheeky grin!

"I DO have access to the tropics" A grin and chuckle

She leans back again Siv and grins up at her. "I'll ask your mum, that's a good idea."

"Oh I'm full of those" A smile and a kiss, "Piper, you should have told me you were feelingg like a lech. You're not, of course, but I would have assured you more"

"Honestly, selfish as it is? Without you and Jonas? I think I'd be a miserable wretch. "
