"I feel like we took the easy path somehow" Siv says wiping syrup off her hands as they enter the lodge

"Annnnd bathtime. Yes, you can take a puppy with you."

"I will help you swab the deck tomorrow," Brekke promises Siv.

"You heard her" Gerd says

Siv smiles "Thanks, mom . You okay?"

"Wait, all." Brekke says before they all separate.

"Yeah, Chief?"

She looks about the group. "I am sorry to have called upon you with little notice. What happened today was not what I had expected. Some of us were badly wounded, but fortunately are healed." A pause as she looks them over again.

"What I saw today was nothing short of excellence. You answered the call to aid, and you worked together to defeat an unexpected foe. I am very impressed by you, Rivervale."

Zane says "Ah.. " he looks around "Chief.. Symon might have felt a little ignored."

Connor is off to the bath with a pink polka dotted puppy.

Hopefully Connor was there when she praised the group.

Siv looks pleased at the praise

Then a brow to Zane. Then she looks to Symon. A moment. "Come speak with me, Symon. Excuse us," she says to the others as she heads to the door.

He fidgets and gives Zane a bit of a look of betrayal.

Then follows.

She bites on her lip as she watches the pair go.

The chieftain and the sluagh step out into the night, leaving the others to relax as they please...and Kerri is not skimping on the refreshments!

Connor did bask in the praise... so much so that when his puppy turns into pink bubbles in the bath, he doesn’t even mind.

Zane says "I should have kept my mouth shut. TOO much craziness"

Siv says "Zane, I think you'd be joyful, new satyr? you saved the day. You were a big hero"

"yeah.. I would be.. but complicated"

Gerd says "We have time suddenly.. "

"Fine.. I think my dad is the father of McClean"

"The kid is named McClean?" Siv says "Oh that's cruel"

"not the point, Siv" Zane feels an eye twitch coming on SOmetimes I undersand Symon more than I like.

Gerd grins "He's your half brother... " Then he blinks "Wait, your dad cheated on your mom?"

"Open marriage" Zane reminds

Gerd nose wrinkles

"He's right.. it's an open relaitonship, satyrs are good at it" Tove says

Gerd's nose wrinkles further

Siv rolls her eyes and bites down on comments about troll prudishness

"But you see why I'm.. I mean, a kid.. holy shit" Zane says

"What do you think, Dagmar?" Gerd says

"Uh... not my circus, not my monkeys?"

"I mean, I know lots of families that have half-siblings. It happens."

"Yeah.." Zane says "I just.. my mom may show up with... well, invitations and shit." A groan "Oh crap my yule list just grew"

Siv says "Half siblings are still siblings. Mind you, Jessica is a full sib because she took the Oath of adoption with mom but even if she hadn't she'd be amazing"

"I mean, yeah. For all I know, I have siblings out there."

Dagmar gets a Text from her mom TXT: Checkeed your father for injuries. Heard you only have a nick and a bruise at most. Proud of you both. What do you want for a hero's dinnner?

"But CJ is the best one."

TXT: Connor helped, so pork chops?

TXT: Pork chops it is! You want i barbeque style or crumbly covered?

After the delay TXT: Oh who am I kidding, I'll make both kinds

TXT: Good plan

Symon returns, but looks fairly worn out, soon to be on his way home, if no one else has anything for him.

Brekke comes back in with Symon. "Zane, you should rest by the balefire tonight."

Symon is giving Zane an appraising look.

"Afer that glamour storm? I'm fine" Zane looks at Symon "Dude. I apologize I.. I just figured out the new kid is my half brother and I lost my head"
