Kerri recognizes the exhaustion of supervising multiple childlings. Siv will find herself covered with a comfy quilt, a snack and drink nearby, when she wakes.

Siv stirs. "mmm?"

"Believe it or not, you survived. Have a snack." Kerri is going about her usual Lodge duties.

"Oh they were adorable..." She groans "But turns out Jack was scared of the ocean. Did you know the poor boy can only dog paddle?"

"Hm. I suppose he never really had an adult in his life who would have taught him until recently, and it just hasn't been a high priority. None of us noticed. We'll have to fix that."

Siv says "Well, I feel bad about it. me going on about the sea and water all the time but do I pay attenion?" A sigh then she brightens "Now, on the winning side, I stopped by to pick up Foam.. Connor's Selkie friend? She had to move closer to the shore.. so they had a reunion. Both of them were so happy... though apparently now she's Sea Pup and he's Land Seal" chuckle

"Oh, that must have been adorable! And loud. I imagine you're not the only one who got tired out."

"Nope, bless piper and Jonas, without htem I'd have been over run. Lily... well, she's in a bad mood. Apparently Adam became sidhe, got sained and.. well, stories vary but it went bad. Lily is very upset with her brother ..and he world. I think the trip out, even if she hid in her oversized umbrella, was good for her but she's.. mm "

"And Siv, I don't think you need to feel badly about missing it. It's an understandable blind spot -- you don't know many people who don't know how to swim."

"As to Lily...I heard something about Adam's saining, but not in much coherent detail. I don't suppose she said much more?"

"Sluagh aren't normally chatty" She says "Like it better than they are. Suffice to say apparently her brother tried something nutty... there was a shanda...and... the namer was upset, the baroness was upset, and Adam ..forget his new sidhe name, wasn't seen again after some meeting. "

"Wasn't seen again?" A blink. "That...doesn't sound good. And if Lily is upset, probably the whole family is. I should check in on them."

"well, they had mostly moved near Earth Runes... " Siv says "with Grand Dame Bondraste but I imagine they still visit the house. " A sigh " I think going out was good for Lily regardless. Oh.. and Layne is a sweetie!"

"Even if they moved, I still want to check on them. They've had a complicated start of things." Then a smile about Layne. "She really is a pleasure, isn't she!"

"I think she even makes mom smile...within reason" A wink then "Oh! Her parents. I've met them. Totally mortal but really nice folks. They want to know how to thank us for taking an interest in her... I think they're also making sure mom and dad are okay... but I've talked to them. "

"They sound like solid, responsible mortals. Not overbearing, but wanting to be sure their daughter is safe. We certainly don't see many who hit the right balance. Hmm...how have you been explaining Layne's frequent visits here? I know the Chieftain often covers with the orienteering and wilderness-craft lessons through the Y."
