Layne sttops "I can't just pick? Oh. Mister Olgar will be disappointed"

Dagmar shrugs. "I've been both. Sometimes you change based on how you feel - what's going on in your life."

"Unseelie can be tough. Unseelie look out for themselves, and sometimes the world is that you gotta be like that. But it can be lonely, too."

"Oh" She stops "But Seelie sounds like... really all these rules. Honor, repaying, and if you fall in love you got that.. I meann, seelie must be EXHAUSTING"

"Rules aren't so bad. Rules mean you know what's expected."

Layne says "But all my surprises are nice ones." Oh she's a childling from a happy family "I'm magic ! And I made a new friend! And new big friends.. and ..well Jack isn't always annoying. And there are dogs, and winged horses, and a funny monkey that stole my apple"

"Oh, you met Snow?" A grin.

Quiet smile. "Yeah, Snow's pretty great."

"I wish I had a monkey friend at home. "

"Well, if you are kind and helpful, you might make chimera friends, too."

"You think so? Oh that would be nice! Miser Olgar says Chimera can be dangerous so don't be too reckless. But I woudl love a little unicornn to hug"

"Unicorns are really nice. I bet they'd like you."

"I HOPE so... You ever seen the Last Unicorn movie? The music is sooo retro but I like it. "

The trudge of large feet in the snow approaching the stables from the wooded area. Dagmar would recognize the Chieftain's tread.

"I don't think I... hey, that's Chief."

"Chief? THE Chief? The Boss, the big axe? Layne turns around "Rover Olgar mentionned her. so did the Hearth"

"Chietain Brekke, yeah."

A few moments later and she comes out of the treeline. Taller and broader than Dagmar (though probably not by much anymore), she approaches the stables. "Dame Dagmar," she says with a nod. "And who is...?" She stops and blinks, trying to make sense of the being who should be a chimera but is clearly fae.

Layne waves "uhm .hi. do.. do I bow or.." A blush and she kind of scoots closer to Dagmar

"Hey Chief. We.. have a new fledge? This is Layne."

Dagmar does a good impression of a wall.

Brekke's brow furrows; to Layne, this may make her seem angry at first. "Dagmar...am I counting the right number of limbs?"

Layne gulps and tries to make small talk "I like your hold it's . its's roomy"

"She's a centaur."

"She...is." Finally, Brekke lowers to one knee. "Thank you, Layne, for the compliment to the Lodge. I like it, as well. Forgive me...I have never met a centaur before." She reaches out a hand to welcome her...her blue one, not the silver.

"Olgar gave her the 101."

"Me and Gerd chipped in."

A brow. "Did he?"

Layne seems a trusting sort, annd she scootts forward and..takes the hand "I've met a couple of trolls now. You all seem nice." A blush "Even if I can't stop staring at Rover Olgar"

"Ah." She nods. "Thank you, Dame Dagmar."

"oh yes... he told me about the Escheat and how to remember it easier.. and the Unselie Code being fun... but the seelie one is okay"

A sigh.

That eyebrow again. "Mm. I see."

"I am glad you have begun your learning. We will need to find you a teacher as you continue your fosterage."

"The Right of demense means obey your freeholder... or 'she who has the flame has you by the short hairs'. The right of Ignorance means we have to protect the secrets of the Dreaming and each other... or 'what they don't know can't bite us in the ass' though I really prefer comparing them to Hermonie having to hide things from her muggle folk..." a nod to Dagmar

Brekke clears her throat. "I see."

"Do you have family nearby?"

"Yes. But they didn't see me like this. So I was SO Suprirsed when someone did. I didn't even know I was a centaur. I thought I was just a weird horse girl, but Connor and Jack are different too and we ran into each other ..almost literally.. then they took me to Dagmar and she was nice.. and then tehy took me to HEarth Kerri.. and SHE was nice despite not getting enough sleep.. .and then I got left with Rover Olgar who was also nice but he kind of reminds me of my Uncle.. he's a teamster"
