Oak barks and welcomes the Chieftain

and the Rover, ironically

Olgar says "Hey, you walking snowdrift"

Brekke rumbles, "Good job, Oak." And she enters the Lodge, wounded and bloodied.

Frank is there, and working."Mmphm"

He goes to get Kerri.

Olgar's got wounds too. Both seem to have light burns and dog bites.

Kerri emerges and efficiently sees to both of them. Brekke, of course, has her own abilities and makes use of them now that she's back within the Lodge with ample access to Glamour.

Olgar whispers something to his wife, knowing she's busy and keeping it low key, then nodding as she goes about preps to other aspects

Gerd clambers down "Chieftain, Rover...how is everything?"

"Not good," Brekke says. "Mountain, Hearth, there is much to tell you, and I must do so quickly. Please...sit."

And once they are settled, she looks around. "Where is AnneMarie?"

"Here," Anne Marie says "Gerd's .. been tyranizing me" hurmph

"I flicker flash her places rather than let her show her face out of buildings"

Gerd translates "And I'm not even sorry" SHe adds

"Well done, Gerd." Brekke nods, then she explains the situation to them...the meeting with Lady Kenna (with certain planning details left out), the spy outside, the imposter, the Balor revelation....

"Wait, the Balor are involved?" Anne Marie says

"Yes, it seems so, so I must get to the Count quickly to let him know. This is a conflict on a County and House level, not merely a personal vendetta."

She rises.

"If we got this right, your old enemy is being egged on by one" Olgar nods "Galdys or whatshis name really wants you to hurt, Anne Marie, but this Countess of Balor seems to be the one 'suggesting' things"

Anne Marie frowns "This is getting beyond... Chief, I can't keep putting your people in danger like this. If I go away for a while, it should take away the excuse, right?"

"No, AnneMarie. I do not mean any disrespect, but this is not about you. This has never been about you. You are merely a convenient excuse that a Balor discovered to excite a Daireann to causing a distraction."

Anne Marie fusses

but seems to keep herself from heading out

Gerd says "Vali and Tiffany are currently taking the wide patrol. Lut and Tig the close one. ANd Dagmar's checking on houses of other kithain in the area in a zig zag last I heard."

"Good. Mountain, please share news of what I have told you here. Gerd, I need you to FlickerFlash me to Caer Falken. Olgar, you will wait and watch for our visitor?"

Frank grunts and touches her hand, then is away.

She returns the brief touch and then watches him go to find those who need to be in the know.

"I'll keep an eye out" Olgar says with a nod

Gerd takes the chieftain's hand "Hang on, Chief. I'll get us there"

"I know it."

Gerd nods , "The old man is telling me he's impressed. Not every Troll walks out for a stroll and uncovers a plot to cause an intra house war in her free time. He's starting to see where your daughters get it from." SHe rolls her eyes "Sorry, his words not mine- I'm not that brave." \

her smile, a twitch of it, almost does look like Vegard's.

A brief hint of a grin. "The Old Man's words are appreciated."

"Don't encourage him..." And they vanish

Anne Marie sighs, and eyes the door "mmm"

Oak sits in front of it, curls up, and makes as if to sleep. Good luck moving him.

Anne Marie glares at him, "No biscuits for you"

Oak wags his tail anyway. He's a good boy and he knows it. Biscuits be darned
