"Ohhhhh...." Kerri strokes the fabric and reads the quote, then leans on Olgar's shoulder as she stands (just a bit wobbly) and puts it on. "Ohhh, it's cozy...." A warm smile, and she gives Siv a hug. "Thank you so much."

"You're welcome "Hug back "But you know around here that's probably an Early Spring coat"

Olgar chuckles "Looks great on her"

"Bah, you're just thin-skinned," Kerri says with a wink as she sets back down again. She holds a sleeve out for Olgar to appreciate.

"Nice" Olgar says

"Glad you think so" Siv gets her package to Olgar, which turns out to be a biker jacket "I know you alraedy have one but.. well"

"Nah this is great" He nods

"Ooooh, do you have a secret message, too?" Kerri peeks over her husband's shoulder.

"Hey..snoop" he smiles but shows her

She reads, then grins and kisses his cheek. "Perfect."

Brekke's gift from Vali turns out to be a painting, almost Boris Veleho style (With more clothes than goodness) showing her wrestling (and winning) against the Yule Cat! Who is, of course, giant sized

That actually gets a surprised laugh out of the Chieftain. "I am not sure what I expected, but it was not that. This is very good, Vali!"

Symon looks amused, but he may put his money on the cat.

"Thanks. you are allowed to regift if you like but glad you like" Vali smiles

Siv stares and fights a giggle. Loses a bit

Sylvi elbows Siv...mostly because if Siv loses the battle, Sylvi's going to follow right along after.

And loses it completely

because elbows don't always help 🙂

"Oh, I think this will be staying right here. Though it may be a...a seasonal item."

And yup, Sylvi giggles and snickers right after her...and even gives a helpless snort. "Sorry! Sorry!"

Brekke gives the girls an eyebrow. But...it's late on Yule, and her brow-powers may be undermined by the strength of absurdity.

"Sorry" is the best Siv can do between her own snicker

And then Siv says "oh, mom.. I have.. a gift for you and dad. It's fragile and I don't know if it's really ..well, it's just a small thing" Apologetic.

"Hmph." Brekke, in defiance of popular opinion, takes the painting to a side table and stands it there against the wall. "There. I think it is good."

Then she returns. "Fragile? What is it, Siv?"

She hands it over

Brekke's brow furrows as she tries to unwrap the item carefully with her massive fingers.

"Just something to put agains a window" Siv says "I saw it in a store and I thought of you two... and... well." Hapless. It's a fragile thing, not really the sort of thing she expects her parents to normally go for.

"Ah!" Brekke holds it up carefully in the candlelight (as the sun has been down a while). "It is a kestrel! Oh, Siv...very good, thank you." She holds her free hand out to embrace her.

Siv hugs her mom "I figure if you put it in a place with light coming through.well , you know better where it should go"
