WHen Brekke goes to tend Stormwake she finds... goats.

"naaaayyyyaaa"

"NEeeeeh!"

Two nanny goats, to be certain. One playing with Spark in the paddock, and the other reaching her head through the fence to reach a clump of thistle.

"bah-ah-ah-ahhhhh...."

Brekke...blinks.

Goat #2 lips at Brekke's trousers. Perhaps they are food?

Goat #1 bounces away from the foal on legs like pogo sticks.

SPark follows..wheee

She blinks again...then...makes sure to set out some hay for the new arrivals as well as for the horses.

Stormwake gives a look. If one of those things charges him, he won't promise he won't boot it further away

"I do not know where you came from," she says to the goats. "But...you are welcome as a matter of hospitality if nothing else."

A nod to Stormwake. "They will learn quickly not to bother you."

An equine snort of 'oh yes they will'

She watches Spark imitate the goats.

"This may be an interesting challenge to your parenting," she comments to Stormwake. She may be enjoying this.

The equine body language for 'that boy aint' right', but he clearly loves his son

"He is a good colt. Be patient."

"I am sure you know how the colts got here. I could whisper you to tell me...but I think I will find out in time."

Stormwake nods and looks towards the direction of the 'barn' as Dagmar refers to the Pennysvanial dutchstyle farmhosue they made

Brekke follows the glance, then nods. "I hope she acquired them under good circumstances."

That gets the horse equivalent of a shrug.

And Spark is bouncing too!

A nod. "Well...there will be cheese and fine soap."

"Hm. Or perhaps not, of they have never borne. Which means...we may need a billy."

"Perhaps not. Billygoats are...challenging."

"Don't you trolls have a war with them going on about a bridge? " Myrttle Anne pipes up.

Brekke looks over at the boggan and grins. "War is an overstatement. Perhaps...a grudge. But I am flexible."

"I believe these have arrived courtesy of Dame Dagmar."

"Good to see you, Chief. I brought some Yule time spices and herbs for the lodge" She looks at the goats "Lovely. I can see why cheese comes to mind"

"And yes.. Dogmar is retired" She says

"Ah." She nods. "Thank you for the spices. And thank you for Jack's service. He did so well."

She looks proud "I think this hard ground is frustrating him. He knows it's part of the season.. but all his 'gardening' is indoors now"

Then she adds "I see Sir Vali has returned as well. Siv and Sylvi still helping with Brightwinds?"

The choice of horse may impact the results for Goat#2.

There's a boot! and Stormwake has given a lesson

"Yes, they have both seen an opportunity to help the recovered hold. And I believe Siv enjoys the echoes of her heroism."

Star lowers her head and shows her teeth a bit. Try me. Her ears say!

"Both fine young ladies." she nods "But still young. A bit of ego fluffing feels nice"
