Frank finds himself loading up the truck, yep, it's got a haul.. and it's all Pennons related. Tents, supplies, and more.

Dagmar is fussing over the horses. Star and Stormwake must be in top shape!

((Say they rented a pick up?))

The horses pick up on her energy.. raring to go! Stormwake in particular seems to know it's HIS time!

((Unless someone owns one there; Frank's 18 wheeler would be overkill))

Jaymes works with Frank to load up things and grunts ("Dagmar's nervous")

"Mmphm." ("She'll be fine.")

Nod, puff ("She'll be great. Just wish she knew that")

Nadeen leans over the rails as Dagmar works with the horses "You're going to be fine."

"I know, I know..."

"Fine, but you're very twitchy and at your size that can cause tremors" A kiss on the cheek

"Well, Star's really making her debut..."

"Star is a star, and besidees, no way is she going to screw up in front of Stormwake."

Grunt.

Frank 's daughter, the younger one, comes up "How's it going dad?"

"Almost ready. You?"

"Born ready..." Siv assures "Well, okay, maybe not, but I'm ready now. Fencing and dance"

Nadeen overhears that, then mutters to Dagmar "I don

t mind losing to her in fencing. But if she out dances me I'm going to sulk. Fair warning"

"Packed everything? Where's your stuff?"

She holds up a bag "All shrunk in here"

Connor comes huffing along with another duffle. “I brung extra shoes and horse shoes!” The bag clanks.

"She won't out-dance you." Loyal.

"Nice, Connor! And did you see the tabard Tove made for you?"

"Well, you want to carry it with you or put it in the back here?"

"I guess I'll carry it with me" Siv says "Save the space for you"

Nadeen is dubious but smiles at the proclamiation of loyalty

Frank nods and continues packing the bed of the truck. Tight. I mean, these things aren't going anywhere and there's a tarp that'll go over it too. Pretty soon a quarter isn't going to fit.

“I’m a dog, not a tabby!”

“And Star will outdance you all cuz she has double feet’s.”

"Tabards are for Squires."

Jaymes mmmphs, and tests out the tension his brother put it in, then gives a nod of approval

“As long as no one thinks I’m a cat. I have to have puppy pride. Jack tells me so! And so did Prince Enri, I had to warn ‘em not to bark at Lily on account of she has secret dogs ears. He’s my Liege.” A quick glance to Dagmar. “But Knight comes first!!” He reassures her.

She checks her pile of things and produces the neatly-appliqued tabard - the arms of Rivervale in blue and white and green, with a canton bearing an armored falcon's jambe gripping a hammer.

Eyes WIDEN. “For ME? I get to wear the hammer chicken?!”

Hands clap over his mouth.

"See, the river in the valley? That's for the lodge, and then this square up here, that's for me." Grin. "The Hammer-chicken."

“I don’t mean that!” He grins. “It’s real great!”

Siv laughs "Whosover lifts this hammer, if she be clucky..."

“Chickens are pretty cool though. We learnt ‘em at the farm. The roosters have long spurs like old timey cowboys and can fight off hawks!” Head tilts, considering. “The only other rooster I met would sing and run!”

Squirming into his tabard right away if not told to wait until they get there.

"There we go, you look all proper." Approving. A pause. "Do you like it?"

“I’m only sad that I can only wear it at Knight thinks because people could see it better during the day!”

His tail wags furiously.

Frank scans the yard to see if everything is in the truck bed, and, satisfied, he starts tying the tarp down over everything.
