The water in the sink keeps running while they talk

His brow wrinkles. "Don't you like it here? With the bunk beds, and the whole lodge around?"

"I'll still be around" He says "Just not as much"

"Don't be mad" he says

He scrunches up his hands into his shirt, wrinkling the fabric even as he dries. Then, he smiles up at Jack. "Okay."

Jack hugs him "Thanks you're the best friend"

And they notice the sink is overflowing

"Oh, oh, oh!" He squeaks and fumbles for the drain catch.

"Yikes!" Helpful fumbles!

"Maybe a bucket! And we can fill that from the sink and take it outside!"

And they scramble

Soon.. Gerd is calling "Boys? "

"We, uh. WE GOT THIS!" He calls down in a voice just shy of frantic.

Tipping a bucket of water out the window. Oh, should he have looked first? Hopefully just a splash into the pathway.

"What's that noise?"

"We're ah.. we're washing .." A mutter from Jack "kind of more than we meant to"

"The waterfall came to visit!"

He tries shoving towels in the sink. Towels are absorbant...

"Ack" Gerd comes in and gestures "Water Woosh and sploosh and boom, splatter drop and zoom zoom zoom"

and the flooding..flickers and flashes.

The water is gone.

In fact, both childlings feel a bit parched

"Gah" The satyr says

And Gerd closes off the water faucet "Mm it's sticking. No wonder. I'll have Mountain Frank loosen it later"

"Whoa."

"The water deserted us!" Turning over his bucket and peering into the empty bottom.

"You boys are handful. Come on, I'll get you juice to go with your bacon and woofles"

"Juice! I want purple!" He races off ahead of Jack. "Bet my hooves are fastest. Boy I'm thirsty!"

"Are not" He chases after

Gerd shakes her head, "i'm starting to get why Baba Yaga just ..eats em" And she follows

but the meal is good!

Should Dagmar come by the stables, she'll find it almost disturbingly clean and clear of horse manure

Edelweis walks over, tail wagging

"hey girl..." She reaches to pet.

She leans into an ear rub if it's offered.

That can be arranged.

Dog bliss, eyes half closed.

Then Gerd comes around "Hey"

"Hey. You do all this?"

"Not all nope, Chief did some in the morning, and Connor and Jack helped... " Then a shrug "But I Did cheat and remove a lot of stuff. nO big. Hard part was resisting the urge not to dump the crap on McGillicudy's roof" She smirks

Edelwiess rolls over, chest and belly please

Gerd rolls her eyes at dog "Shameless"

"Oh..."

Brow furrow. "Why?"

"Two reasons.. one, I hadn't realized it, but I've been slacking. I don't patrol that much. Sure, I flicker flash folks when they need it, but that means I might not be called on for days. I mean, I WAS helping in the kitchen but Squire Brogan and Sally Mae have it covered a lot. The other reason..." She bends down to belly rub and then says "Well...Connor was worried he was more work than help to you. It was bugging him. "

"What? Shit. Kiddo." Frown. Guilt.

"Not your fault. Not his fault" Gerd says "You're a great knight mentor. He adores you. And I might be biased but I think he's a good squire. You're both being too hard on yourselves. You're a Gwydion. You know I believe what I say when I said I could do more and I've been slacking."
