"Okay, so... no killing. But, like, if there's a way to get her sent off to, like, Boston or Los Angeles or something.."

"Yes, lateral promotion" A nod

"She wants something more exciting, right?"

"More social, yes" Pacing "If I could get HEr a hold a thousand miles away with parties... "MM

"Right? Then she'll go back to ignoring Connor."

"I'll see what I can look up" A thought "Blast I may have to put up with her on a trip to other holds" A sigh

Nose-wrinkle.

"I know" A sigh "Calanthe can be tolerable to her fellow sidhe, but she treats other kiths as if they don't matter. WHich is insane. I may be a royalist traditionalist to the bone, but sidhe cannot manage a kingdom alone"

"No, they can't. They'd look pretty silly trying."

"Who's gonna muck out the stables?"

Nadeen manages to snicker AND make a face at the same time

"A muck, muck, muck muck muck..." Comes a singing voice as Connor tromps over from Stable-ways.

Now there IS a laugh from Nadeen, bell like and musical

"Squire!" A happy greeting.

"It's my Knight during the day! And Nadeen!" His tail wags! "And the wee one!" He politely offers his hand to Pyschka to sniff.

Pyshcka sniffs the hand, then starts to go around the other side.

"Pyschka" Nadeen fusses

Connor laughs! "She's so fluffy. Does she get hot? We could set up a pool, oh I bet she would store SO MUCH water in her coat, and then you could wring her out to water the entire garden with one shake...."

"Somehow i suspect that itwould all end up on Me when she shaked" Nadeen says "But yes, she probably does get hot" She strokes her dog lightly

He circumvents the tail sniffing neatly by plopping down on the ground to sit, and his tail sets up plumes of dust instead.

This sets Pyshka into a series of accusatory barks!

"Oh, we should go to the lake again sometime, though..."

"Knight Dagmar, could I put Nadeen into my shiny? I mean, the shiny. If you decide I can have it? Maybe? And I'd say Puff too, but she doesn't have any fingers to dial."

He offers to pet the pup instead in return as a conciliatory gesture.

"Actually, Connor" Nadeen says "We are thinking of something better. Not all your friends can afford those things os not all can see you back. But there are treasures. And I am thinking of sending Siv to fetch one, so you and they can talk long distance by magic and mortals none the wiser"

A look to Dagmar "With your permission?"

The puppy, no longer startled, decides petting makes amends

His face droops terribly. "But it was a gift... from family... she said... I thought maybe..."

"Symon is making sure there's no bugs hiding in your watch."

"Bugs?" His head tilts to one side. "Doesn't he LIKE bugs?"

"Once it's safe, you will be able to use it. But like we said - with grown-up listeners."

"He does! I bet he'll save all the bugs up."

"Bugs once tried to kill Dagmar" Nadeen nods. "Symon knows the good bugs from the bad bugs"

"Jack said he thinks he'd eat them, but I don't think so, he'd keep them in his pocket to spook people with by having 'em crawl on them when they're not looking."

"Lilly dropped a worm on my head once!" He laughs. "I almost DIED."

"Ewww..."

"Don't worry, the worm was okay. I put it in the garden."

"Lily is... sometimes a victim of her situation" Nadeen says trying to mask her distaste. Truly, of all the crimes of Sluagh, the fact they insist on spawning anew every generation is the leading cause of all their other treacheries. Alas, she's not to talk like that so. The Varich endures queitly

"I cleant up all the stables. They need more apples."

"Good job. Do you need food?"

"You're a hard worker, Squire Connor." A nod to Dagmar "I think you have taught him some self discipline and hard work. "

"I probably need cookies..." He says hopefully.

"He works twice as hard as some squires so he may need two" Nadeen says

the pup tilts her ears. What is this cookie they speak of? And why does it sound like she should check one out?

His head tilts to mirror. "and milkbones?"

"Mmm... cookies are an AFTER pork-chop food."

"They're crunchy-munchy and good for your teeth!"
