Sir Carowyn blushes lightly as Sally Mae peeks out

"Sure I can't make you something before you head to the store?" Sally Mae asks

"I... if you like.... I would, welcome that," A touch baseful.

"Good" She pulls out the paper back she already prepared and hands it over.

"You knew I was going to say yes?" he asks the tall beauty.

Sally Mae looks smug "Was going to find a way to guilt you into it ...bye."

He smiles, blushes, and moves on.

and out.

And only NOW does Sally Mae let her smile fall and a bit of worry show through.

Carowyn passes Kerri on the way. "Hello, Sir Carowyn," she smiles.

"Hearth" He inclines his head. Kerri can smell Sally Mae's cooking.. and not her 'easy careless' stuff, "Pardon me, off to cover for Jaymes"

"Of course! Do well." She nods to him and lets him go...then turns a slow smile on Sally Mae, eyebrows peaked.

Sally Mae's turn to blush "It... ah, the launch was a success... but I'm not sure his agency is interested in regular moon landings." She looks to make sure there are no small ears about so speaks in code.

"Well..." Kerri grins. "One small step, I suppose." She starts to arrange ingredients for pastry. "How do you feel about it?"

"keep wondering if my family's going to find out, part of me wants to... but..." She says "Kerri, I know sidhe are mindblowingly gorgeous... but he's... "A blush "Hes very attentive, and damn nice. He... i mean, the 'landing' was one for the history books, but the orbit... he listened to my hopes and dreams and i ...i mean he didn't just head back to Earth when he could have. I... really really like him." The kinain blushes "But he hasn't asked me out again so much."

"Hmmmm...." Kerri starts measuring ingredients. "Well, normally I'd counsel caution, but...oh, I don't know, Sally Mae. I kind of like him, too."

"Good. I trust your instincts. I just figure out why the caution ? He WANTS to fly again. I can tell his rockets are fueld and ready to go... " A light blush "if I'm not too subtle"

Kerri gives her a sidelong look. "I can tell you that, even when there's no moon to be seen, he sometimes looks longingly to the sky."

Yup, a blush but a pleased one

"Well, that's what it looks like to me, anyway," she adds. "So...maybe you need to make the first move?:

Some measuring, some stirring...

"Well, I guess.. I dont' to be seen as a .. I mean.. I did the first move the last time.. what if he thinks I'm.. easy, or desperate? Girl's got her pride"

"It's not really the first move though, it is? It's...a new move. A next move."

"You know we still talk he and I? I mean... i think we're connecting on more than just one area. He apologized to me last night because he had to help a family down on their luck.. and It was clear it came first...but still, he's got his duties but he feels enough to apologize for my troubles?"

Kerri smiles. "Sounds like me and Olgar, a bit. Loving your partner, and loving your duty, and knowing your partner feels the same way, and acknowledging it together."

"Does, though I imagine your Unseelie fellow might be fuss if told he forgets the 'passion before duty' part sometimes of his code" Light smile, then a serious thing "The sort of thing you and he have? I .. I would love something like that. I've seen how he's got your back without assuming you need him to step in front... and when he dont agree.. well, if that ever happens, seems to be in private talks."

"Oh, we don't agree quite a bit. And I've helped him see sense as often as he's helped me see the same. And when we really just can't agree, it's usually nothing that can't be handled with a night of drinking and dancing." A conspiratorial grin, "He is such a good dancer."

"Did he come in the package that way or did you have to teach him?" A smile

Kerri pauses and looks up, considering the question. After a few moments, she shrugs. "We taught each other," she says as she checks that the oven has pre-heated.

Looks ready

"And that's the thing, really...there's no guarantee that the person you're seeing now will be the person he is in, oh, five years or so. Nor will you. But if you work on growing together...well, hopefully, you'll be on a road you can still share."

She puts the pastries in to cook.

"Lyron's an amazing dancer. But I hope I can dance with Carowyn" Then a nod "It's.. life's little slices"

"I think I may have broken the space-journey metaphor. Sorry about that. So...have you see Lyron again, also?" No judgment, just a question.

"Lyron I saw before Carowyn.. Lyron is.. he makes a lady feel great to be alive, but... Carowyn makes me feel ..great to be with? I.. don't know how to explain. But no, I.. recently told Lyron I was ...exploring other things." She blushes "To his credit he .. he said 'some lucky fellow out there? good for him. have a blast' and let it be. I mean.. he's darn NICE about it"

She starts cleaning up the bowls she used. She's no boggan, but she knows what she's doing so well that it goes very, very quickly.

"Your family is going to have issues with this, though, it's true. If it goes far enough that they need to be told."

"Yes" Sally Mae frowns "I wonder if that's what he's... protecting me from?"

"And..maybe I need to face the fact they'd take ANY Kith over a sidhe to be..suitable." Sally Mae frowns "I wonder if the rebel factor is part of the allure? Though Carowyn is the opposite of a bad boy"

"Well..." Kerri sighs. "I think it's possible. Or...it could be the kith-kinain difference."

A nod, "He is, it's true."

"Kith Kinian?" A brow "don't liams look OUT for mortals more than anyone?"

Thoughtful "Wonder if I can get him to try on Leather pants and go by 'Draco' for an evening?"

That surprises her. "WHAT?" she says with a laugh.

A blush "Nevermind. "

"Just.. well, I was more into the movies than I was the books...and I was younger when they came out so.. consider it a poor choice to a teenage girl's mind"

"Oh, I'm not criticizing! I think you might be a weeeeee bit early in the relationship for that, but...well, relationship goals, right?"

"I think all the engaging with Vali and Tiffany, and the baby with Jaymes and Tove.. maybe putting ideas in my head" a chuckle "Don't tell Olgar. he'd think I was a victim of the patriarchy"

"Oh, now that's a change that happened over time, now that you mention it. Olgar wasn't always quite so...progressive. And as for kith-kinain...yes, Liams look out for mortals. But there may be challenges there. That would be my guess, anyway. Not that the challenges wouldn't be worth it...but they'll bear discussion at some point."
