Lut and Tig wrangle for the same turn, and decide to boast together, combining their tale of chimeric battle and victory over some sort of creature made of face masks.

The Chieftain toasts them enthusiastically

Cheers ..and the YOUNGER twin trolls really cheer

Lut and Tig give the boys matching thumbs-up.

Adam is at the point where he will cheerfully toast and acclaim darn near anything.

Colton rises and says with a Breath "I am the guardian at the gate dark. I am the roar against consuming silence. I am the Storm that blows back the fell. I have blown on the embers and restoked them so others may know warmth! I have lost flesh and bone and sinew only to lift myself up and fight on. I am the bleeding shield when it seems the sky's rain are arrows of hate. I will shelter. I will protect. And should all else fail, I will die holding back the opening of the dark gate."

Adam mutters to Piper.

Sylvi bites her lip, and as the others cheer, she throws her arms around him and gives him a very serious kiss.

Colton returns and whispers in Sylvi's ear "We're working on a creed and..well, that's the prototype"

Piper squeaks and gives Adam a mock slap and a tsk. "bad!" She whispers back to him!

"It's perfect," Sylvi whispers back, and kisses him again.

Olgar looks at his wife "mmph. He might Have style forming..kind of"

And folks drink , cheer and go on.

Kerri says to Olgar, "That was bad-ass, and you know it."

"Any others?" Brekke looks about to see who has not yet gone.

"Heeeeyy!" Adam salutes the question.

Brekke blinks. "Adam? I believe you already boasted." Amused.

Looks like most have gone that want to try anyway

"You betcha!" He agrees.

"I had my doubts about him and booze" Kyle says honestly

Brekke nods, giving him a somewhat dubious look, but then says to the group, "Then there is one thing more to do this night." She sets down her horn and clears her throat. It seems clear some sort of speech is about to happen.

Discussions on who had the BEST boast start up .. but what's best? Funniest? Most bad ass? Most honest and sincere? Most poetical?

Then they quiet down

as the Chief has something else in store

She waits for the quiet, then begins. "I do not care much for noble titles. This comes as a surprise to few of you, I am sure. And noble courts have many titles. A troll Lodge does not. Because of this, it may seem I do not notice those who serve, because I do not often bestow the expected titles." A pause.

"I do notice."

"Tonight, the three of us, Mountain, Hearth, and Storm, wish to recognize some of our childlings and younger wilders who have done service in support of the Lodge."

Olgar mutters something to his wife

Dagmar perks up.

A pause before she turns to Kerri. "Hearth."

Jack blinks

Gerd stops talking to Eden

well, even mutter talking

Kerri was just about to break into a laugh at something her husband had just whispered to her. "Ahem....yes." She elbows Olgar, then steps forward, setting down her cup and picking up a folded cloth.

Adam, an arm around Piper, watches.

"To clarify," she begins, "these are not appointments or committments to any role. These are signs of recognition of service. As Hearth, tonight I ask three to come forward and be recognized: Connor, Jack, and Gerd."

Connor blinks in surprise, ears pricked, and looks around. "Is there another Connor?"

Brekke applauds as the names are called.

"Come forward," Kerri encourages, smiling.

A shy wag of his tail and he trots up to follow the others.

Gerd motions Connor along...

Jack Flap bounds up taking the lead "What who huh? Neat"

Kerri looks down on them, then says, "Each of you, in some way, has helped make the Lodge a welcoming haven, a place where visitors feel secure and comfortable, and place where those in need know they can come for help. This is a great service, and I thank you for your efforts. Tonight I call you Embers of the Hearth!" And with that, she unwraps the cloth and reveals three pendants on chains, the pendants cut in the shape of a curling flame with a red stone at its base. "For you," she offers them.

"Oooh, it's a pretty." Connor reaches out to touch the flame, as though checking to see if it is hot.

Jack Flap takes it, and puts it on, "I got HEARTH BLING? I got hearth bling!"

A whisper up at Kerri. "Even when we make it a COLORFUL Haven?"

Kerri smiles. "Even then," she whispers back.

A beaming smile and he puts on his bling as well.

Gerd takes it, and puts it on with quiet dignity, "I dont' know if I deserve this but, thank you. I'll wear it with pride."
