That gets another sharp look. "Really?"

And yes , a note of slight frustration, "Hypotheticallly speaking? We've got a hypothetical crush...which doesn't mean the lifeguard is entirely wrong, but...it sure means trouble. And hypothetically? SOmething pushed the drowning soul over the ege it seems. A chimera, and not the one that tried to eat his mom."

"So hypothetically, MY solution was to use math tutoring to talk to the drowning victim about my swimming difficulties. "

"Which, if all this wasn't hypothetical, would explai nwhy I was late" Carrots done.

"Another one?!" She sighs about the chimera. "All right...that needs to be addressed. As for the coordination...well, hypothetically , that sounds like setting up which people get to be the 'fun people' and which have to be the 'heavies,' the ones who give the lectures."

Kerri nods to the pot of water on the stove for the carrots to go in, as she'd said before.

And she gets to the pot and gets to work, "Well, I stand by the next time NO heavy... not just because it might be someone was hypothetially right, but because it pulls the teeth out of them when they say that so you can go "Oh really, what about?'"

A bemused look. "Ah. Breakfast for dinner. Dessert first. The rare treat."

"Was a time I thought having children was a duty, now I'm thinking single and cats sounds really really good" an admission

Kerri gets a distant, thoughtful look for a second...then a slow smile. "I think I've got it. The Chieftain's planning to teach Dagmar how to joust this weekend. At least the starting stages. Perhaps a certain drowning swimmer could be on hand to help. Do you think that would be a step in the right direction?"

"Knights? Jousting that.. might just be perfect. " A smile

"Well, and Pennons itself is an absolute must." She's adding coucous to the carrots and cooking both together.

"Thank you, Hearth. I'm sorry for unloading all this hypotheses on you"

A look. "Hmm...one wonders if the local new kinain have even heard of Pennons. Something to look forward to, hm?"

"yes. " A smile

"Nothing to be sorry for. It's a troubling problem."

"on acompletely unrelated subject, apparently there's a chimera named 'Nab'"

The way she says 'unrelated' means yes, it is QUITE related

"Ah. Well, on that unrelated note, any details about Nab the chimera?"

"None. Except apparently she did something upsetting to some kinaian"

"Ahem" From behind them

Kerri turns to see who is in need of a throat lozenge.

They turn and see Flopsy, the rabbit grooms his ears, then says "Nab, or Nabuni, stands for 'Naugthy But NIce' and she is a she devil looking chimera, smaller than I am. She is very distraught and not sure what she did wrong. At this point, the Bergen Chimerical Council is taking no action against the kinain who upset her, but his denying her glamour is not considered a friendly act." Foot thump

"Bergen Chimi.." Sally mae glances over at the Hearth "Was a time I wondered which place was weirder, the Farm, or Rivervale. You guys win."

Kerri...is actually agog. "The Bergen...Chimerical...Council...?"

The rabbit says "it's not an organization we often advertise.. and the sky wolves are reluctant to join at this stage."

A blink. "Flopsy, does the Chieftain know about this council?"

"I haven't told Sylvi." He says

"Why on Earth would I tell the Chieftain?" a blink "Until the need was there anyway?"

"WHere do you keep the scotch again? Asking for a friend." Sally Mae says

Kerri vaguely points at the liquor cabinet out of reflex, not looking away from the hare. "Well, I think the need might be present. Flopsy, no punishing the kinain. There's a lot going on here, and we need to figure out how to fix it." A sigh. "Okay...how do we go about meeting with Nabuni?"

"it can be arranged. Particularly if she is allowed to be by the balefire since her regular method of recharging is denied"

One.. no, two small glasses are pulled out along with the scotch.

A long exhale, then a nod. "I'll clear it with the Chieftain. And..." she pauses, figuring out how to word this. "We need somebody present who can speak for Adam, if not Adam himself, since he's the one in conflict with Nabuni."

"He broke her heart, and then forbade her from recharging. I suspect out of ignorance, but for a bonded dream this is a catch 22 of major proportion." He says

"Bonded?" Sally Mae says.

"Yes, like I'm bonded to Sylvi." He says "SHe, at least, is a sensible wintershell"

"But...how is she bonded to him? How did that happen? Sylvi chose you, Flopsy....did he choose her?"

"Probably not knowingly.. his dreams revived her, reconnected her." A nose twitch "I wish I could tell you more but our Escheat is very firm on some matters"

"Your glass is to your right" Sally Mae says to the Hearth "if your'e interested"

" Your escheat??" Kerri reaches to her right, lifts the glass to her lips, and tosses it back at a gulp. This was a necessity.

"Of course," he says "Sensible rules I assure you. For your own good" He does not appear to be joking. "And ours."

Sally Mae is already done with hers.

"Comforting, that. Thanks." Kerri still looks slightly stunned....and is in danger of letting the last chops burn.

Sally Mae moves to save them. Perhaps she's just better braced because, as Hearth and thus a part of the lodgeleadership, this is Kerri's problem.

"I'll let Nabuni know you'll try to get her a place by the balefire. After her banishment it's her only chance"

A deep breath, and a nod to Sally Mae as she performs the rescue. "Bring her in," she says to Flopsy. "Just temporarily until we sort out what's going on. My authority."

"You are a true source of justice, Oh Hearth" The rabbit puts a paw over his chest and then bows, ears bobbing, and off he goes to presumably fetch the imp

Kerri watches after him with narrowed eyes. "I think he just mocked me," she mutters to Sally Mae.
