Kerri is greeted in the morning by a FREEZER full of squid! (Tentacles that is, cephalopod gold...)

A blank stare. A blink. Another blink. She pokes at it to make sure it's not some sort of funny funny cantrip.

Frank enters the kitchen, cup of coffee in hand. He's showered and groomed and ready for the day. "Morning, Kerri."

The calamari has, at least, been stacked neatly on the big metal trays Kerri uses for holidays.

"Frank. Good morning." She greets him mildly enough, but is still staring into the open freezer.

"Everything ok?" Noting her FROZEN stare. ((*Bows* Thank you, thank you.))

((Boo.)) "Well...would you come here, look at this, and tell me what you see?"

Frank comes over, looks in.... sips his coffee. "Um. Is that .... food?"

"Looks like.... kind of like fish, but not quite...."

"You see it, too, then."

"Yes. White... um. Flesh. On those pans you have."

Sip. "Should it not be there?"

"It wasn't there when I last checked." A deep breath. "Well....okay. I suppose we'll be doing seafood for a while."

"Seafood is good." mildly.

"I hope everybody else agrees with you, because this is an all-hands-on-deck matter." She carefully closes the freezer door. "I wonder if this is a contribution to Vali's Togail?"

Still a bit stunned, she steps away from the freezer. "Ah...is there anything I can get you, Frank?"

"Just breakfast. I can get it." Easily, and gets himself cereal.... ok, and one of Kerri's muffins.

"Mm. You let me know if that changes." She's fishing out cookbooks to see what they have to say about...tentacles.

He scoops and eats neatly.

"Are you ready for the Togail?" she asks conversationally, flipping pages.

Frank nods. "Vali and I have had a series of talks. I think I'm ready. Just a guide, really, someone to keep things organized and moving along. He does the heavy lifting."

She nods, then a bit of a grin. "I recall yours. You scared us, you know, not telling ahead of time. Well, you told the Chieftain, but the rest of us..." She shakes her head, still amused.

A small smile. "Well. I don't have the flair Vegard had, but.... to be honest, I wanted to be sure I could back out if I needed to."

"I mean, -yes-, I needed to go through it but... I was scared."

"Is that why. I'd always wondered." She nods. "You did well."

"Thank you." He finishes; cereal is quick. He eats the muffin with his coffee.

Dagmar enters the kitchen, seeking the fridge. Has she already been out on the horse? Dust on her clothing says yes!

"Morning, Dagmar."

"Good morning, Dagmar."

"Morning Miss Kerri, morning Frank!"

"Ah...Dagmar...do you know anything about the contents of the freezer?" She nods in its direction.

"Oh! Right! Siv said calamari is good, and it seemed a shame to just throw it away if it's edible..."

Frank chews, eyebrows registering mild surprise.

"Siv said? But...where did it come from?"

She takes out the orange juice. "Oh, the Dreaming. It attacked the boat."

"Siv says I was a badass, but honestly the whole fight is pretty fuzzy for me."

Kerri looks to Frank.

"Right. Ship."

Frank sips his coffee (muffin gone) and clears his throat. "Boat?"

"Siv's boat, yeah. It came yesterday from Alaska."

"But, like, it's only.. oh... yea big, right?' Indicating something football sized. "Until you let it out of the bottle, that is."

Kerri blinks. "Siv's ship arrived, she took you out on it, and you two immediately got attacked by a...well, a squid, I'm assuming." She thinks about this for a second, then nods. "Sounds about par for the course, I suppose." She returns to the perusal of her cookbooks.

"I think when they're bigger than the boat they qualify as a kraken."

Frank sighs.

"Oh! We saw a DeBuke!"

"Just one?"

"The weird one with the sluagh girlfriend?"

"Did it also attack the ship?"

"Ah. Earl."

"And oh, what's his name with the spit curl... sidhe? He's been here..."
