"Oak?" She pulls away, looking betrayed.

"Whoa. Oak? What is it? That's Dagmar...."

Oak rips at the girl's sleeve

And whine growls

"Hey!"

"Oak! Down!" Sylvi moves to shoulder the dog away from Dagmar.

She scramble-stumbles to her feet, backing away.

Oak sits down but whines...

Edie looks at her brother like he's nuts, and moves to Dagmar's side

"What the heck is wrong with you?" Sylvi stares at Oak.

Dagmar cradles her arm to her chest and wavers a little as she stands. "Stupid dog."

Then Edelwiess sniffs, whines, and.. points! She's not a pointing breed

Sylvi goes to support Dagmar. "Don't know what got into him."

"I don't know." Frown. "Maybe I should go home."

"Edie?" Sylvi follows the way the dog's pointing.

At the same place more or less her brother tried to remove the sleeve from...under that arm or the like

Her tail is down, she looks miserable. Oak is whining with tail down too

"Hey....Dagmar, let me see your arm..."

A sullen jaw-jut.

"Come on...it's me. Please?"

She offers out her arm with the torn sleeve. While she holds it out straight at first, it quickly droops.

"I don't know what they're freaking out about. I just showered."

"Wait...hold your arm out again?"

Arm out. She holds it steady this time, but her lips purse.

WHINE

Sylvi rolls back the sleeve to take a closer look.

Dagmar flinches and pulls away. "Hey!"

"There's something wrong with your arm!" She doesn't let go. "Now let me see!"

On the OTHER side of her, not the one they growled at, Oak presses a nose against Dagmar ot direct her to Sylvi

"It'll be fine. I took care of it."

"What do you mean, you took care of it?"

"I don't... I don't want you looking.... Tove'll think I did it... I know how to clean up a cut..."

WHINE Edelweiss makes the BIG Puppy eyes

She has her other hand on the torn part of her sleeve.

"Dagmar, if I take a look, Tove doesn't have to, but there's something wrong. Please let me see?"

"It's way better...." She frowns, and moves her hand.

"Better than when?" She carefully moves the sleeve so she can see.

Through the tear, Sylvi can see part of a cut - scabbed over, red, and oddly puffy. A few reddish-purple lines trace away from it, towards her armpit. The cut is set amongst old scars - mostly straight slashes. Those are long-healed, a paler blue than the rest of her skin.

"Than after the fight at McGillicuddy's. I cleaned it up and it stopped bleeding and I put neosporin on it..."

"Dagmar...it's not okay. Look." Sylvi looks very serious.

"Those lines...something's in your blood."

"It's okay. I have been washing it..."

"No, it's really not. Dagmar, you've gotta trust me. My mom should see this."

She grimaces. "I'll get in trouble.."

"It'll get better. Sometimes it just takes a little bit. I had a cut once that kept reopening for, like, months..."

"Why? You were in a fight with that...thing. You got hurt. You need healing."

"What makes you think you'll get in trouble for that?"

"Because... because I... I didn't ask to go, and I told Dad I was alright, and I cleaned it up, I wasn't lying..."

"I don't think you're lying! And...yeah, okay, we should have told them we were going, maybe. So...look, I'll get in trouble right there with you, but you've got to have this looked at."

"I... I guess..."
