"So you clap and she comes to life" tove beams

"Sort of, yeah."

"I've gotten.. like... I'm pretty sure I've mused her."

"The one game, when she got that three pointer? I got all warm and fuzzy."

"Yeah. I remember you being on a high that day" Siv chimes "The good kind I mean"

"I was so happy for her!"

"She was on"

"Yeah. And next year, we are totally gonna be starters."

"I figured. " A grin "Show them a few tricks you learned at camp" Siv believes it.

Torrin does to, "I'll need a bigger foam finger"

Sam laughs at that.

"Okay okay...it's getting late. you want to stay here tonight with Theo?" Tove says

"Theo needs to stay the night, for sure. And he seems to trust us now..."

"I'll set a spot out for you next to Gerd" she says

"Awww, you're nice."

"One tries" She says.

Torrin rises, "I best go feed Racer. Dagmar, I'm very proud of how hard you've been working."

"Give him an extra pet from me. Night Torrin."

"Night" He moves on with a kiss to Tove's cheek and off he goes.

Siv smiles "he's a good grandpa"

"I'm pretty lucky."

"So are we to have you," Tove says "My daughter is an amazing girl who I will just go on and aon about... I think I'll make a song about how sweet she is"

A snicker from Siv "I think 'sweet' is not what she's hoping for her in her saga"

"Toooo-ove!"

"Gather ye round, and hear mother's pride... about the sweetest girl who on thunder would ride! WHile tough on the outside, her smile shines like a star- the sweetest of trolls is my daughter Dagmar" The fact Tove sings it beautifully does not make it any less embarrassing.

A very teenaged groan.

Gerd begins to shake with laughter from where she was semi resting.

"being SO good right now," Siv manages NOT to smile.

To Gerd's credit ,she tries to muffle the laughter

"Okay okay.. I'll stop. I don't mean to make you feel picked on" Tove says

"Could focus on me being badass, y;know."

"Oh everyone knows about that" Her mom waves it off.

Another shudder silent laugh from Gerd, who is clearly feeling better

Siiiigh.

"Okay, I'll crash here."

A blanket is prepared and laid over her, and yes, a forehead kiss is involved.

But even Gerd doesn't dare laugh at that.

Nope. Some risks are just too great.

Gerd is smart.

Theo whimpers once in his sleep, but an idle hand from dagmar calms him... and soon both girl and the rescued dog are fast asleep.
