"Yes. Thank you. Please call again with any concerns." She hangs up the phone, and turns her full attention on Siv. And...oh yes, there it is...the eyebrow.

Siv gives a nervous smile "Mortals.. .they just don't get it do they?"

"Nor should they. Siv, I believe some of these are explainable...and I am glad that you have kept up on most work...but you must tell me when you miss school." She shows her the list. "Where were you on each occasion here?"

"Well ah.. you want all that NOW?"

Dagmar knows a good time to stay quiet.

A pause that some might describe as dangerous. Then she very carefully enunciates the word: "Yes."

"Right..well, " She sighs "rough summary... " And a deep breath is taken, knowing she's under that darmnable polygraph

Brekke folds her arms, waiting.

"First absence was heartbreak... post beltaine Second Absence I was chasing a chimerical threat through the halls, nervousa fed on those forced to speak in front of class... I handled it. Third was on a mission for Count Jude. Fourth was today... I went trod hoping because a trod that only opens once every few months opened and it was my once chance to get a quest done"

"Aw man, you went on a quest?" Jealous!

"Sorry, Dagmar" Siv says and means it

"Dame Dagmar." The implication of now is not the time is clear. She looks back to Siv. "I need more information about the last two. Since when does Count Jude send you on missions, and since when am I not told of this?"

"Sorry Chief."

"Oh. Ah well, I met him and offered to help him on a few things.. remember that trip with dad? He said he might have a few things in Apples if I reallyh didn't mind, and no I did not" She says "And you always told me to respect honorable men of title"

So far all true

"Mm. You will be discussing these absences with your father as well, you know. Now...what of the last? The trod?"

"The trod is located in a locker in school.. it actually grows so you can be stuffed into the dreaming. Even trolls...neat huh?"

"But it's only open one day every three months or so, and today was the day" she says

"Hm. Interesting. And what was the quest?"

"I'd prefer not to say" She says

"I have no doubt. Do you refuse to say?"

"If you give your word not to tell anyone else? and we make sure we don't have ears nearby? I can but.. I can't risk this otherwise or it'll be undone"

Brekke frowns, considers this. "Siv...I will respect this if it is so very important to you, but only if you can tell me truthfully that you believe I would approve if I knew what it is."

"I believe you would" She says "And I think Dagmar would too.. and I'd trust either of you, but part of the magic is honestly if the one I did it for finds out before it happens, it won't." And both Gwydions hear the truth

"Mm." A brief sigh of annoyance. "Very well. You may keep the secret. But as I said, Siv, you must tell me when you miss school, or the school administrators will contact us, and I would prefer to avoid being surprised when that happens."

"Yes, mum, I'm. sorry. I should have thought through that and told you you'd be braced better. I guess... well, lately I've been looking for excuses to keep my mind on other matters." A shrug "But that doesnt' change that I should be more careful about keeping you filled in. Ah...since you know anyway, could you help tend me wound?"

She lifts her shirt, and shows her midriff (And without going Unseelie, I might add- take that Clem) to reveal a bandage

"Wound?" Brekke says, then approaches when she sees the wrapping. "Who tended this?" she asks as she starts to remove it carefully, just enough to look beneath.

"I did" Siv says , the wound has been cleaned, that's good, and bound, "Was going to let the balefire tend to it... just heal faster in the hold like most do. Figure the scar might be bad ass"

"But it's abit larger than I'd like." Shallow, but LONG...something tried to grab her daughter with long nails that if they'd found purchase would have cut Siv in half

"This is...a claw mark? You have cleaned it well...." She examines it gently. "You will have much time in your life for permanent scars. This one is not the one to keep. With your permission...?"

"Sure" A look to Dagmar noticing how quiet she is "Your'e not mad at me are you , Dagmar? About leaving you out of a quest?"

"No. Just... I mean, I can go to the Dreaming now, too."

Brekke realizes that Dagmar has gone silent, and nods for her to go ahead while she prepares a bunk...gesturing as if sewing the wound closed with careful, even stitches....then she pullls the "thread" slowly to close it.

"I know, and there's no excuse for me to forget that" Siv says "Wow, you would have loved some things on Jude's mission too. I had to slip past a three headed serpent with eyes like black coals. Could have torn me apart.. it was awesome"

That last to dagmar even as her mom's magic mends her

Siiigh. "Yeah, sounds it."

A...very strange expression on Brekke. Grim and proud and...anxious?... at the same time.

When the cantrip ends, she finishes removing the bandage and discards it. "Your father is working on the rig. Do you wish to speak to him now, or do you wish me to speak with him first?"

"And it was HUGE... I mean, Three times as tall as father five if you stretched iot out" And then "Ah.. mum would you ? I mean... he might panic more from me first?"

The Chieftain nods and goes for the door. "You are grounded, by the way. For not telling us. We will decide how long. Get your materials for the report and to study for the quiz you missed, and join Dagmar with doing homework." She is out the door without allowing argument.

"That's fair" She sighs

A sympathetic shrug, and she scoots the opposite chair out with a nudge of her toe.

Then watches her mom go "Sorry, Dagmar. I think this means I'm not driving anyone anywhere for a while"

"Well.. we can deal."

"Thanks." She ponders "I'm grounded. Seems like old times." Wryly "Damn it. Mum's right. Should have warned them. "
