He reaches into a wallet and pulls out a 10 and a five. "There you go."

ANd hands it to her

She takes the money and grins. "You got it!"

"Thanks. Forgive me. I'm off... got a few calls to make"

"Okay. Will see you after school." She grins at the money again, and tucks it in her pocket.

"Hope you don't get called on too often" he wishes her well

"Thanks!" She tromps off, to contemplate how she will spend her windfall.

Vali watches her go, then pets one of the dogs before making those calls
