"You are," Jaymes nods, and he puts a hand on Dagmar's shoulder "And you have nothing to prove"

Siv says "Well, that's true."

"Thanks." Softly.

Siv bites her lip "I hope Sylvi makes it back in time. They'll be broken hearted if she doesn't"

"Oh yeah. They were good friends, it seemed."

"VERY close, Kelby and her were like this" Siv makes a gesture of fingers entwined

"Poor Sylvi."

"She is so … Sylvi always seems so together, you know? And then... this. Never seen her so shaken."

"Well, yeah."

"It... I don't... it sucks. And it's weird. Kelby was our age, you know?"

"Yeah, she was a lot like you actually, bit of a tomboy, definitely a warrior" Siv says.

Dag frowns and pokes at her food.

"Sucks."

"It does," Jaymes says, "And Siv, when you go, you're going to wonder on what the right words are- Believe me, there's not much you can say except that you're sorry, your condolences, that sort of thing. The 'trite' or cliché thing is said for a reason"

Siv says "But surely there must be something..." A sigh and a stab at her own food "She died a hero. She.. won."

"Sorry."

"Nothing either of you can do," Jaymes says "And it's not about her win, it's about their loss"

She nods. "I should sleep before guarding again."

"Okay, rest up. Weather is nice today, if you want, Hammock and a blanket outside... or your own bed" Jaymes says

"Mm. I don't think Odin fits in the hammock."

chuckles from all around

"I'll handle the plates" Siv says "You go on."

And siv takes the empty plates up "I need to talk to Aunt Kerri anyway"

"Night guys." She gets up, giving Jaymes a sort-of side hug before heading home to sleep

Jaymes returns it "proud" Simple, one word

And off Dagmar goes with that word in her ears

If she gets a little more lift in her step? Well...
