"She made this 12 layer Chocolate pancake, only to find out that the person she made it for decided TODAY to go on a diet. That's right, someone turned this down. I am under orders to find help in making it vanish."

"Oh..." Blink.. blink...

"Someone said no?"

"I couldn't believe it either" He shakes his head and starts to set it out on the table along with two plates, forks and butter knives too "Some people choose the wrong time to go on a diet"

"I would never. Giving up food for no reason?"

"Don't get me wrong, I understand restraint, but out right denial? Duels have been demanded for less" He says "Small piece or big piece?"

"Big please?"

"Sure thing" And nor is his idea of 'big' merely 'bigger than small' she gets a good sized hunk of cake

"Thank you..." Kerri training, before she digs in. It is not too big for teenaged appetite.

"You're welcome. " He has gotten himself a slice too. Perhaps a little smaller than hers, but not by much and he digs in with casual gusto.

"S'good."

"It is," He says "Honestly, I did not marry Kerri for her cooking, but I won't deny it's a helluva perk"

"She's pretty good. Everybody here just has food all the time."

"And she's got to find a way to feed the mob without over doing it" He nods "Sally's a big help but the Hearth organizes." Proudly

"Glad I don't have to be a Hearth."

"At the basketball game, Rekke, she said she was "of the Storm," like - not THE Storm..."

"Rekke? Huh... interesting. DOn't know her. But she's probably talking about how some trolls follow a path , or put themselves under a particular part of lodge duties more than the other. "

"She's named after the chief. Do we do that here?"

"Honestly? No, but... we don't have that many trolls. Odd. There aren't any other troll lodges in the County bsides this one, or I'd know about it. So if she's 'of the storm ' she must mean training in warrior skills I guess" Unsure of that and he scratches his chin.

"I should say 'we didn't'...we're getting there I suppose" a nod "NOw the DeBukes do it that way"

"There's a lot of them, though."

"Like, this feels like a big lodge.."

"It's bigger than it was. Look if you want to call yourself 'of the Storm' , talk to the Chief about that. She's the Storm as well as Chief, so get her approval, and don't be offended if she says she wants to keep things fluid. Vali is back up Mountain after all" A chuckle at something

She chews on a nail and shakes her head.

"No worries. I think the fighting side of the lodge is your strong point, but don't be afraid to keep going at spiritual and magical sides, and or the maintenance and practical sides... "

"I've not had much luck with magic."

"Before I was sained? I had the worst knack for it until after, then I found I had a gift with some dream magics"

"So maybe after you get that... I know, I know, 'argh' more waiting... it'll be easier"

"Bet you're hoping time flies" He finishes his slice and wipes at his mouth "I hate to tell you this, the closer we get to that date, the slower time is going to seem"

"It already feels like forever."

"Longer than I've been in one place for years."

"You finally found home," Olgar says "Kind of like i did. When I came here, I didn't realize it would be...but there you have it."

"Good. We want that too. Jaymes most of all." He looks at her dish, "you done?"

There's not even a crumb... but she runs a fingertip along to catch any, just in case. "Yeah."

"Let's go clean these dishes up. You wanna wash or dry?"

"Dry, please?" She stands, picking up both plates.

"Sure thing, and thanks for getting my plate." He takes what's left of the pancake thing for others, then starts the water. It's not just THEIR Plates, but he doesn't seem to mind.

Dagmar is on it with the dry-and-stack game.

"We'll have to tell Kerri that it was really good. You'd think by now she'd know that, but it makes her feel good , and it makes her smile. I like her smile" Clean clean scrub

"Sure you do. Jaymes is like that about Tove."

"mmph good. Worse things to like doing than making a single lady smile" He nods

"True! I like it when they're happy."

"Kerri likes Tove , I think she sees a bit of younger self in her. THough each one is their own person, of course."

"Yeah. Tove makes the best food." Loyal.

"Ha. We're going to have to agree to disagree there, kid." A grin of wolf fangs
