"And Brown Dog is due for a walk."

"I can walk him." She rises, brushing dirt from her jeans.

"Oh, is this a bad time?" the lady says, "We were also considering the pound, there was this Spaniel."

"I'm sorry," Vali says to them, "The fault is mine. I may havee got something off on the scheduling." He gets the leash for Brown dog, who seeing a leash springs up happy and starts to dance around

"It's okay, let's go talk about it as a family anyway" The father says "thanks for letting us know about the option. I hope they all get homes, but we need to discuss which on is for us. Email us pictures ot that little dog?"

"Yes! Walk!" She clips the lead on his collar. "Through the woods, right? Lots to sniff..."

Of course." Vali says as he watches Brown Dog being.well, he thinks this is a dognapping but isn't going to say that.

And before the family can say good bye to Brown Dog and trick him into liking them,, Dagmar and Brown Dog are out the door..if they want to be.

Oh yes, post haste - Dagmar telling Brown Dog all that they're going to see, trees and creeks and big rocks....

OH wOW! Brown Dog is excited. The world is great isn't it? CREEKS? That's like water bowls that move! And not the swirling kind.

Creeks ARE great! And COLD!

Yes yes indeed. Brown Dog also practies his guarding skills...alert and ready to protect... hey LEAF ON Creek! BONUS!

Dagmar laughs at his antics, a sound that has become less rare of late.

Indeed, through the eyes and ears and nose of Brown dog, Dagmar, so new to being a kithain, gets yet another view. There is, eventually, a splash, and the dog gets the leaf, comes out, and shakes , spraying water on her too.

"Oh, good job, silly thing. You proud of yourself?"

Wag wag yes!

"Well, okay..."

Brown dog is happy to show her things. Did Dagmar know there are squirrels in this forest? Well, there ARE, and they cheat! Climbing is cheating right?

"You can't go somewhere without woods. Who else would count the squirrels?"

Brown turns and barks, Someone is here! Friend, Foe?

Dag looks in the same direction.

The mortal husk of the inaminae is visible to mundane eyes, but only enchanted or fae sight can see that he is a glome. Klump waggles large fingers

"Hey Klump! This is Brown Dog!"

"Let him sniff you so he knows you're a friend..."

Brown looks at her as if to say "You sure?"

A reassuring pat.

Klump offers his palm up, and Brown Dog, reassured, sniffs.

Wow! this guy smells like rocks? How does a person smell like rocks? NEAT.

"Maybe it is best he never sees the chimerical dryad" Klump observes sagely "Hello, Brown Dog. I am Klump."//Brown Dog wags

"I don't think he can see chimera. He's a regular dog, not a fae hound."

"Jaymes rescued him from a flood."

"No shame in that, being 'regular'" Klump says "Regular stones ofteen hold up mountain tops." He pets the dog, carefully "He is a good boy. That is the term yes? good Boy?"//Brown Dog wags. Yup.Good words. Pets and snacks come with those words.

"Yup! He is a very good boy! They're looking for a permanent home for him."

"Oh, good. Everyone needs a place. Yes?"

"Yeah...."

"You have a place. I have seen it. But I am not sure if It is right for me to go to it? It is a nice house"

"Oh! You can visit, yes! Can you eat food?"

"You could come for dinner."

"Yes. I can. I don't need to as much, but I can," Klump says then smiles

Well, everyone is happy, Brown Dog thinkks this goes well

"Jaymes isn't too chatty, so..." A shrug. "But it's nice having company."

"Yes. sometimes silence shared is good." Klump nods.

"Yeah. No pressure if you just wanna be there."

Speaking of footsteps, a smaller dog barks. And behind that smaller Dog is Jaymes.

"Hey there! Jaymes, Klump can come to dinner sometime, right?"

"Sure, our chairs are plenty tough" Jaymes says. //Shaggly Little wags her own ass, taking a liking to Klump. Oh, she's part terrier, they're all about the earth.//Klump holds out a hand "Hail to thee, bane of vermin, tunnel render."

so far, it seems Klump has a way with dogs.

Brown Dog sniffs at Shaggy Little in greeting, but not too intrusively. She gets feisty .

"Ha. Bane of Vermin."

Jaymes smiles just a little.
