And so it was that Siv was enjoying labor day, sitting on the roof top of the lodge and enjoying the breeze.

Tromp tromp tromp down the path goes Dagmar.

From above, "Ahoy!"

Sylvi looks out from her open bedroom window when she hears Siv call out. (That window is likely how the elder girl climbed atop the lodge.) She calls down, "Hey, Dagmar!"

"Hey Sylvi! Siv!" A wave!

"Coming up?"

"Breeze feels good up here"

"Sure? Gimme a sec.." She breaks into a jog - into the lodge and thundering up stairs. "HI KERRI HI SALLY MAE"

A welcoming call from the kitchen. The dogs follow her up the stairs, all a-wag.

"Hi..and bye?" Sally Mae smiles as the girl rushes past her

"You two can't get up the roof!" A laugh.

Oak gives her a look that reads: try me!

A knock on Sylvi's door (or the frame if it's open). "Hey."

Sylvi's door is open, and the open window allows a warm breeze to drift through. She sits on her bed with a book, Flopsy hanging out and reading over her shoulder. The chimeric hand is pacing back and forth in its tank.

"Hiya!" Sylvi sets the book aside and sits up a bit more.

Flopsy eyes the hand "I am not going near that thing Samhain"

"C'mon in."

"If it's still moving by Samhain, I'll be surprised," Sylvi points out.

"Well, YOU have no sense of adventure. Bet you could make an awesome zombie costume with it..."

"Hmmm...only fae could really see it, but yeah."

"Well... won't we have a halloween party? Frank said it's a fae holiday, too."

"From above "Well, somewhere out there is a zombie with a hook"

"Arrrrrrrrr. Pirate Zombie."

Sylvi gives Dagmar a curious look. "You don't know about Samhain yet, huh? That's fae Hallowe'en."

"Yeah, one of the holidays. Pennons is next, then Samhain, and Yule, and... Im-block?"

"Frank said it's when it goes from Summer to Winter. Which is totally skipping fall."

"Imbolc, yeah."

"Bolk. Okay."

Sylvi calls out, "Hey, Siv, you coming in or staying out there?"

"Oh fine, I'll come down"

"We could go up, c'mon!"

"Well, someone decide for I get caught half way"

"We'll come up." Sylvi leads the way out the window. "Just be careful not to knock off any shingles."

"I'm careful." A pat for each dog, and she follows Sylvi.

The dogs sit and guard their departure...and then both look at Flopsy.

Flopsy sighs.."Oh fine" He bops a dog's nose "Tag" and races through the house

Oh, it'll likely involve a scolding from Kerri later, but who can resist?! A merry chase ensues.

Siv says "Welcome aboard" A wink "Moon pies? Vali got me some"

On the roof, Sylvi settles in on a spot near Siv and looks out over the trees. The city skyline is visible in the distance.

"Oh, yes please!" Sylvi says.

Dag clambers up after and sits on the edge - feet dangling over. "Sure!"

"Siv, Dagmar was just asking about Samhain, and I was going to tell her about it a bit, but now I'm wondering...did you celebrate Samhain in the Dreaming, on the Kestrel."

"I'm thinking I might be a viking. But that might not be very creative around a bunch of trolls..."

"I thought I mentioned Samhain island? "

"Like, Halloween all the time? That sounds awesome."

"I don't remember...was it completely unseelie?"

"Hard to remember it all, but it is not like mortal halloween, not entire"

Sylvi looks at Dagmar. "Samhain is more intense than Hallowe'en. And...you won't remember it."

"OH, Siv! This'll be your first Halloween! We could trick or treat!"
