Three Days later, they see a ship approaching them even as they head towards it

The Wave Maiden comes into view, and a voice calls out 'Ho, the Kestrel!" Bova?

"Wave Maiden, ahoy!" Brekke calls out loudly. "How do you fare?"

"Well," Clem comes out "Did you find what you sought?'

"Aye. And you? And...how long has it been since you last saw us, by your count?"

"Three months." Captain Clem grins

"For some of us"

Frank has come to the rail, glances at Brekke, and over to Clem. "Hmm."

Brekke lets out a deep breath, and nods. "Sixteen years, give or take, for us. What do you mean, 'for some of us'?"

"Well, let's pull side by side, and..see for yourself."

They pull up next to each other, and boarding planks are set out to connect the ships. Brekke steps across to the Wave Maiden after getting permission to come aboard, and giving permission in return.

Frank waits with the youngest member of the Kestrel's crew.

A six year old boy comes up, a nocker! "ahoy"

Frank blinks. "Ahoy. Coming aboard?"

"Nah, I'm here with me mum" thelma comes out, looking the same age as she left, but no longer pregnant

"So anything new with..." Clem starts to ask when Siv waves

"you?" Clem finishes

A small smile cracks Frank's beard. "Well, hello Thelma." And then to Clem. "Clem... Siv. Our daughter."

"Mozel Tov" Clem says stunned

Brekke gives Thelma a grin. "Congratulations." Then she turns to the boy. "I am Brekke. May I know your name?"

Frank is proud, and says "Siv, this is Captain Clementine DeBuke of the Wave Maiden."

"My name's Frankie" The boy says

Thelma blushes, "Named him after a troll that gave us a chance."

"Auntie Clem!" Siv chimes! "They told me all about you"

Brekke gives Frank a bemused look, then extends a very large hand for Frankie to shake. "A pleasure to meet you, Frankie."

"I want time for rebuttle" Clem says as she's hugged/ Frankie shakes the hand, "cool."

"Wow, we've got a lot to catch up on," Bova observes. truerwords
