"As am I," she adds (echoing August's approval), and bites into a slice of veggie.

Before he digs in, August says "Coradel hadn't seen "A Knight's Tale" or "Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail" so I brought both. Which one should I put in?"

She belatedy notes Claire's tension. "Are you all right?"

"I'm fine," She says, and does seemed to have untensed a bit, "By all means, which ever you like."

"Hm. Sounds a bit like Deryn...." A slight sigh, and then to August, "The number of movies I haven't seen must be astounding, but...well, let's start with A Knight's Tale, I suppose."

August nods and hops up, digging through his backpack to find the case and then fiddles with the DVD machine until the title sequence has started. Then he drops back onto the sofa, careful not to jostle Coradel.

She gives him a grin, and finishes her pizza.

And he starts his own.

The Aiil enjoys the movie, and chuckles.

A lot of it goes over Coradel's head, and more than once she scoffs at references to women's roles ("Well, why shouldn't she be a farress?").

After the first few times, August refrains from trying to explain.

Magnus is happy to explain, but he likes the sound of his own voice, and Claire points this out gently.

((August is learning.)) As the movie goes on, she cheers on the jousting...and thoroughly enjoys the villain's comeuppance.

"Okay, I know some knights like Ademar... they deserve to be stomped."

August grins, eating pizza but far more enjoying Coradel's reactions.

((His explanations tend to the scholarly.))

"Oh, I would stomp him So Hard!"

"But that woman was useless. What on earth did he see in her?"

"I try to tell myself she had no chance to learn to be a warrior herself. And I can admire her insisting he be worthy and then delivering so to speak, but yes, s he's the least interesting lady on the set. " A sigh, "Anyone else find the black prince sexy as hell?"

That from Claire.

"Not me."

"He's....cute, I suppose."

"Sexy as hell? Really? Do I need to adapt a semi-brit accent with a touch of brogue?" Magnus says./// "Might help." Claire laughs, "Really? Just me? 'What a pair we make?' speech not doing it for anyone? Huh."

"Oh, he has his moments, certainly....but I thought William was far more...yummy."

"Oh, he's feisty in the best way, I'll give him that. " Claire agrees.

"Just appalling taste in women. Should have gone for the Farress."

August cleans his hands on a set of paper napkins, then his mouth.

"You guys up for the next one? Anyone want a break?"

Notes August's reticence. "And which of the ladies did you find most appealing, August?"

A lightly teasing smile.

It is as if the thought never occurred. "I... well, I didn't."

"I mean, I never thought of them in that light."

"I do think the Farress's storyline was a little underdeveloped."

"Oh, he's delightful," Claire says to Coradel regarding August's denial of attraction.

"What?" Puzzled.

She looks over at Magnus, "And you? Don't tell me you wouldn't have notions?"

"He's rather remarkable, isn't he?" And she kisses August on the cheek.

He grins. "I did like the...." Is kissed ".... ah... letter. Part."

Magnus tries to mimic the Liam's look "Mmm?" then loses it, "Okay, first, I have to ask why I'd be limited to one if we're just talking flings?"

Claire swats Tony lightly "Argh."

"Mmm." A smile and she rests her head on August's shoulder. "That part, the letter, made me think of you."

A laugh at Magnus. "Fair enough...but which one first, then?"

His smile is infectious and he holds very still to make sure she is not dislodged.

"The Princess for Dance, the Lady in waiting for dinner, and the Smith for...endurance." He admits.

the Ailil rolls her eyes.

Perhaps growing a bit rosy, but still.

That gets a merry laugh.

"Oh, and an honorable mention, among the men, for Chaucer's ass." She raises her glass of soda in toast.
