Supergirl brief review. I'd probably rate it a seven out of 10. Good, but not great and never gonna be one of the top tier superhero movies of all time (The competition is fierce). Milly Alcock is an entertaining and sympathetic Supergirl with one or two moments were got REALLY good.. Jason Mamoa is a darn good Lobo. The main villain is nothing special but I've seen worse too. The visuals are a bit too dark and murky, old west covered in air pollution, and it makes it hard on those without decent eyeballs but i guess that's a minor gripe. They did double down on the 'Jor-El was bad' which I didn't like this time either but at least they're consistent. Fight Scenes were fun imo. Power scaling went up and down but for good reasons (Red Sun vs Yellow Sun etc) which served the plot more than hindered it. I laughed at some surprise jokes and physical comedy here and there. Krypto remains adorable and in need of training. Young girl on quest for vengeance tag along was NOT obnoxious, which is good as Kids in movies often can be. Is it a MUST SEE in the theatres? Probably not but I'm glad I went. I do suggest watching it at least once when it hits streaming.
