sigh The lesson planning that I'm doing involves finding texts for students to work with on the question: Should states restrict what public schools can teach regarding race? Students have to construct their arguments based on the evidence provided...which means I have to provide a balanced selection of evidence...which means I have to find and read evidence that is extremely conservative-leaning and infuriating in the way it twists meanings. UGH.

I have to wade through a ton of that stuff before I can find anything that works as actual arguments in favor of restrictions.

It goes. The birthday stuff yesterday was nice but long and I'm glad it's over. My sleep schedule is screwed up and I'm blanking on some writing ideas other than that, it's good. Sorry about the school research

On the topic of facial recognition...I've noticed an increasing trend among male students to wear their hair directly in front of their faces, covering everything down past their nose. I can only assume it's for the sake of the cameras.
