Our department won a pizza party at a professional development day. Earlier this week, the assistant principal asked us to post what kinds of toppings we liked. There were all sorts of suggestions, and the usual debate about pineapple. Anyway, today was the "party" -- with three plain pizzas.

Typical.

OH for the love.

Yeah, it was a bit anticlimactic.

Well, you may have seen that my fam is visiting briefly. It should be fine, but i'm stressing needlessly.

They're there now?

No. Arriving tomorrow. Stressing ONLY while they are here would be logical. My brain weasels don't do logic 😉

Oh, I'm quite familiar with weasel "logic."

So I'll be stressing all weekend.

Oh, I'm sure it'll be fine. Because certainly nobody will bring up anything like politics or healthcare or immigration at all.

Fortunately my parents hate trump. Now my AUNT was putting up a 'oh see, not getting shot by ICE is easy' video clip that pissed me off.

Same woman who was aghast about Charlie Kirk, and I called her on that.

Thank goodness for the relative sanity of your parents. Your aunt needs to be put in finger cuffs.

And she always struck me as so intelligent. Sigh

I'm sure she thinks she's a genius. Dunning-Kruger, and all that.

Oh she's always got her 'source' Usuually OAN or MAGA sites. Oh well. SOrry

Anyway I will not be on tomorrow.

I am not sure what storylines we can and will salvage, RL has been brutal to folks.

We've been pretty good in the past at recovering storylines. I think we'll manage. But I am sorry that so much good stuff got put on hold.

Mr. D, if we're enterprising, there's always diving through the archives. But I fully support stuff that needs to be abandoned for the sake of sanity.
