waves! Hi, all. I wanted to be on yesterday, but the previous night I had no sleep, so last night I dosed myself with cold medicine early and conked-the-hell-out for about 9 hours. Needed it.

My problems are my iffy sleep schedule mostly. Other stuff is minor.

You know, I think I had heard that such a thing exists, but that mere fact boggles my mind. You'll need to share a report of the experience!

I shall. honestly I like the movie but it's not my favorite and the sequels were 'meh' to me. But at least the music should be good

I can see that it really would lend itself to being musical-ized.

Speaking of musical numbers: today was the school talent show.

But agreed that they definitely make musicals based on things I did not expect. /Oh? How was it?

It was surprisingly tolerable.

I've gotten to a point where, even if I don't like the style of the performance or somebody's a bit off-key, I just ask myself "Am I up there doing that right now? No? Then they deserve appreciation for being up there."

I was surprised by the heavy metal band. Lead guitar, bass, drums, vocalist (a teeny tiny slip of a girl with a BIG VOICE).

Cool! I like Heavy metal, though I'm a wimp about the volume somedays

Agreed. The fact that earplugs are pretty much required for a lot of shows these days bothers me. In theory, anyway.

What time are you seeing the show tomorrow?

Starts at two but we' have a bit of a drive so we'll leave somewhere between noon and one i suspect.

And as for musicals that are drawn from sources I did not expect, one of my favorites was based on the movie Tootsie!

Tootsie's a really interesting movie. Did you know that the first half and the second half were done by completely different directors?

Admittedly, that's something I learned during my undergrad years, so I can't remember more details than that.

Yeah, apparently the first director and the producer had some sort of falling out after half of it was filmed.

That happens sometimes. Or an actor does a lot more directing than folks know/ Oh, here... this is one of my favorite songs from Tootsie the musical, a secondary character who wants to be an actress but is a walking testament to Anxiety. Obviously while not a young blonde woman with acting aspirations I can relate to the brain weasels

Okay, that's a whirlwind tour of my anxiety, yeah!

I thought the live performance we were at was better, but it was fun. Also my friends kept shooting ME looks during the song 😉
