((chuckle)) The other two worker-bees at my level who are left both messaged me FAST after they heard. Turns out IT didn't kill my network connection as fast as they might have, so we connected via personal phone texts and on LinkedIn.

In other news: one of our formerly-feral cats never quite learned to purr, but she manages a kind of loud breathy approximation of a purr. Currently, based on the heavy breathing, I can tell she's somewhere in the room, but I'm not at all sure where.

Although now it sounds like she might be snoring.
