Not really, but maybe you had to be here. I'm disenchanted with the couch and chair and want them gone.

Replacing them is .... $3K? Ish? So.

Yeah, new furniture is an investment if you want something that'll last a while.

And that's a question too. A dog that loves couches, but respects/fears daddy enough to get off when he's around (early habits when we all left the house for the day)...... what's it worth?

Anyway.

We managed with couch covers for a long time when the big couch got just way too ugly to tolerate.

I wish I could. It's not the couch or chair, it's the DIRT. But I can't find a cover that works. And I have tried.

MEANwhile..... the overnight slowcooker pork is amazing, the scrap stock is looking good, and a snacklebox is packed for volunteering tomorrow!

New furniture doesn’t HAVE to be an investment! I found a pair a lightly loved West Elm couches for $200 when we moved. Those are like $2k each new but they just wanted them taken away :smiling_face_with_3_hearts:

Mmmm... no. It's a couch and chair I brought from Mom's, and it has some... um....supports? On one end, some kind of plate/shutter/support inserts. It's fine! .... but not if it's dirty and worn and such. I'm done.

If it's structurally just fine, then yeah, time to replace. But if you wished you could keep it, I'd suggest bringing somebody in to clean it professionally.
