I thought that signing for the pool would alleviate some stress; committed to the project, cross it off the list, SCORE!!!

Nope.

Stressing about a multitude of different details, now! The pool project stress had a litter of mini-stresses!!!!

I have to say, at least, the whole fam got together and agreed on a basic concept for the details and deco. And I promise I'm not going to fill the chat with pool crap, really.

Please, I love swimming pools... just I love them uncrowded and that's rare 😉

Yes, I'm looking forward to being able to get up and exercise in the pool. In fact, a big reason I picked this company is that an exercise system comes STANDARD with the pool.

And let's face it, I'm going to need that kind of thing close to home.....

Heh. They gave me a wee sample of the surfacing of the bottom/sides of the pool (there's a technical name but I can't remember it) to take home.

So you get to pick the color so to speak?

Well, we picked a bunch already; had to, for the contract's bottomline price.

Turns out the fam liked my idea/concept of 'a woodland grotto grove pool." So we looked at/for colors and textures and such that we thought carried this theme.

Oh, Cat.... the HS spring musical is Little Shop! You'd DIE at the 'contract' the theatre teacher sent home. I made a few adjustments and signed off on it, sent it back. Also attached my theatre resume and volunteered to help with everything.

Yeah. Really. I mean.... ok, I get it. You need to impress on parents AND students that no, you can't audition on a whim, take a 'lesser' role, and decide a week before open you're dropping out 'cause mom doesn't want to come get you at school at 9 p.m.

I get it, I do.

BUT

You really DO have to update more than JUST THE TITLE OF THE CONTRACT if you want people to take you seriously. Leaving last year's musical in place through the rest of the document does not communicate what you want it to.

In a tangential. but related note, I found a typo in our pool contract.....

I mean, we sorted out the contract and I told my sales/design person to take it to her boss and say she noticed it for brownie points but.....

Apparently Thing2 reports that the theatre teacher (and budget cuts eliminated her tech theatre counterpart) asked "So your mom does marketing.... could she help market our show?"

Oh, I have IDEAS to market/make money with the show. Cat, I'd love your input if you see similar avenues.
