I was exhausted yesterday, crashed way early.

I feel that.

I went to bed relatively early. We had an internet outage in the arvo, so eventually I went to read for a bit and rest my back in bed. I was THIS CLOSE to sleeping when Thing1 and DH got home.

I do. Three Monday arvo including the IVA and one Tuesday.

The 1 Tuesday is a final for one of the Monday 3 .

Wait...so they scheduled a second interview before you've had the first one?

They scheduled three before I had the first one.

This was for the bank internal communications specialist.

However, I'd need the top end of the estimated pay rate, it's hybrid, and the WHERE I'd sit in-office is a question.

However, all that's for the offer, not the interviews.

But that's still not the VIA.

What's the exact position for that one?

Which is also technically hybrid (Fri WFH) and 30 minutes away. But worth it.

Well, that's the question; the bank is clearly interested in moving quickly, scheduling three interviews on the strength of a resume.

My severance ends 19July; if I go back to Mouse before that, I have to pay it back (or part of it?). If I go back 22July, I keep all the severance AND go back to the Mouse....

So the timing is tricky, nu?

The third interested employer is a local pediatric hospital.

Geez. Yeah.

I have two more interviews set with the hospital, one of which is Monday.

I suppose you could accept the bank gig, continue with the interviews, and ditch them for the Disney job if you get it.

I know a lot of teacher new-hires do exactly that -- jump ship if a preferred school offers to hire.

If I take an offer and we sign and it's set.... I'll stay at least a year if the job lasts that long. Even if that means declining the Mouse.

Interviews? Yeah, no worries; we're just talking.

Yeah, that's how I'd feel about it, too. Just saying, it's not unheard of.

Well... I mean it's still a qualified success story. I've been in touch on and off with a Mouse recruiter through the years. Back in May when it hit the fan, I reached out, let her know I was looking. She asked for my resume (!) and passed it on for the recruiter for this role (!) who call me based on it (!) and encouraged me to apply for this role (!).... and so now this is a second call, the first after application for this SPECIFIC role. We're going to discuss it, and she's going to ask some behavior competency questions.

A long game, definitely.

I mean, even if I don't get the role, there's ANOTHER recruiter out there who may think of me for roles I can be a good fit for.

Having so many interviews scheduled feels like good odds.
