I'm damn grateful that I've got a union to protect me. The worst that could possibly happen is that I have to start next school year in the "rubber room."

It's where they put teachers who they suspend for whatever reason. But I don't think it'll come to that.

I think they need you too much to suspend you.

I think they're putting me with 9th graders specifically because it's easier to reassign me to the middle school next year if they only have to replace somebody teaching low-stakes classes. They don't need me. Or rather, the kids need me. The administrators don't.
