I don't like the new Slack layout. They used to show you each of your slack environments and notifications for messages, but now they're all hidden unless you click to check. So When I'm on work Slack, it doesn;t tell me if any messages were here

And thank you. Yeah, it's weird -- right eye is crystal clear, but left eye is still foggy, so it makes for some funny stereopticon effects.

Wear a patch over the left and go 'arrr' a lot until the next surgery? Or have you had both?

Second one is on Monday. And I think having blurry depth perception is still far preferable to no depth perception.

The surgery itself was a breeze, but I absolutely embarrassed myself when they were setting the IV. Started to pass out, and they had to make me lie down until the color came back to my face.

I'm on administrative leave till 31 May, and they are offering 7 weeks severance with contractual stipulations. I'm going to try and get some legal look-over tomorrow from the VA.

So I get paid through 31May, I think, and then a lump sum. They provided transition services, which I've already approached. I've applied for two more Mouse jobs in my field and am reaching out elsewhere.

If I can get rehired at the Mouse w/in 12 months they will 'bridge' my time, meaning my last 7 years will count towards retirement (20yrs). If I come back -after- 12 months, I start at zero. 🤷:skin-tone-2:
